Dog Days was pretty :| since the show practically trolled you if you were hoping for something serious from the preview and synopsis.

Well, of the 15 series that I've watched or read about so far these are on my watching list:
Tiger & Bunny (mecha, action)
Hana-Saku Iroha (slice of life)
Steins;Gate (sci-fi)
Sket Dance (shounen, comedy)
Nichijou (comedy)
But it all depends on the things you like of course. People who like Lucky Star should watch A Channel and people who're into BL might like Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi.
One more week of first episodes and it looks like some great series are coming up. :)
