Episode of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica was just glorious.
MASSIVE SPOILERS
Oh man, this episode was wow. I'm going to say that the theory of Witches being born from corrupted Mahou Shoujos is proven to be true. The scenes after Sayaka's tear drops on her Soul Gem was fast paced, but I managed to catch a scene where it shows a silhouette (most likely Madoka) looking at something. I'm thinking this refers to Episode 1. Also, there was a scene where an item that looks like a Grief Seed morph.
So Kyubey has a nickname, Incubator. Incubators are used to hatch eggs. Soul Gems are also called Soul Eggs by some other people from what I heard. It also turns out that a new Kyubey will replace the old one that die and eat it's remain. That's pretty gruesome.
Well, all I can say now is Goodbye Sayaka, I'll see you as a Witch next time, if the theory is proven correct. However from the scenes that I caught, I'm going to say the theory is most likely true now.
Near the end of the episode, after Homura shot and killed Kyubey, Madoka said something. It seemed like she forgot who Homura was. She said something like "Did we meet somewhere before?" which is intersting. It might be a result of the "time" power. I'm still trying to see how the dream from Episode 1 fits into this whole thing. If I recall properly, in Episode 1, Homura was tied onto a tree and we saw Madoka looking at a giant Witch (?). Homura yelled out something. I believe that's the timeline Homura is from, and she came back to the past to stop that event from happening.
Kyubey mentions that he has been killed twice by Homura. He doesn't seem to know her power, but now his speculations of what it was are correct.
