Uh...what is anime? And why is it being used as a sticky?

@Asian Farm: Yes you can, im hungry, go make me a sandwich :P
@Miss Alaska2: To put it bluntly, cartoons or animated movies that are made in japan. Where they differ from western animation is anime covers far more genre's and themes, and as such is a wider entertainment medum (western cartoons are usually only for children or crude humor.)
The other difference is that anime tends to be serialised, a opposed to the stand-alone episodes favored in western productions.
Chances are you have seen some anime before. Dragonball Z and Pokemon are well known examples of (children's) anime.

In other news; Still loving Madoka. Its alot less pink and fluffy than i expected based on the preview guide. Today i was watching episode 3 and i was like;
"watching mindlessly, watching mindlessly , Watching mi... DUDE, DID THAT THING JUST EAT HER HEAD!?!".
And still hating the storytelling for Wandering Son (and still not used to calling it by its English name)....wish February would hurry up and come and go so i can buy the first volume of the manga.

Boy, has it been a long time since I posted on here.
Well, this season of anime is looking quite promising. I'm currently watching Beelzebub, Dragon Crisis, Zombie and Level E. All seem to be very interesting but I'll have to wait and see how they unfold. Just wondering if there is any anime this season that I 'need to watch.'
Also, has anyone watched Durarara!!? Was thinking of watching it soon but everyone keeps giving me mixed reviews about it. So, is it worth the watch and should I buy it or just download it if it is?
Thanks in advance!

Code Geass season 3 will be named "Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito" and will be a side story. According to MAL:
"The story takes place in Europe in the year a.t.b. 2017. It's about a platoon of Elevens who charge into a hostile area in order to rescue a friendly corps in a predicament."

Thanks Jesse for your recommendations. ^_^ I dropped Hourou Musuko yesterday, it's too confusing for me because I haven't read the manga either.
Fractale may be a bit childish, I just love those Ghibli-like landscapes and the characters. But my favourite series of this season is still Level E.
@David: I personally enjoyed Durarara very much. I think the strength of the series are the characters, it has a large cast but they all have their own story. You could always watch the first few episodes and buy it if you like it. :)
