I watched the first ep of Oniichan no Koto blah blah blah long title yesterday night. Made me laugh and wonder why I chose to watch it a good deal. I don't really like all the fanservice though. And I'm surprised at the way his parents reacted at all the mags he had, they almost didn't care XD. I also watched Yumekui Merry last night, I was kind of tired when I watched it but it looked good XD. I also plan to start Beelzebub and Gosick tonight, as well as watch the latest eps of Bakuman and Toaru Majutsu no Index. I've enjoyed Bakuman so far, although I mainly enjoy it for the manga writing part and not the relationship part.

Wow. This is why you can't take a word into consideration from reviewers. Because this season, there is a more gerneric-copy of something else with a different name of things.
Yes, I will bring up "Cardfight!! Vanguard!" Such a Yu-Gi-Oh remake xD

Oriemo was great, but I felt so bad for the main character. All the things he did for an odd sibling...
I might have to look up this other title people are talking about (the one just as long as the original Oriemo title :P ) and see that. It cannot be as bad as a....different show that had siblings sleep together...*shiver*

I just watched the first episode of "Cardfight!! Vanguard"
I couldn't tell if the main character was male at first. Bishonen character designs, high voice, plus the fact that he's a schoolkid anyway results in me getting angry at the subs, then realising that they're right. :p
Will I continue watching it? I want to say no, but I know that I will anyway, given that even a card game anime can be watchable if given a decent (albeit absurd) enough plot.

It comes down to personal preferences. There are many genres of anime so you'll have to give out examples of what you like and reasons why.
Anyways, I watched the Onii-chan anime today, and I'm deciding to drop it. I hate how the characters look, the female lead looks like a monkey to me. And I'm not too big of a fan of the taboo love she imagines. I'll change my mind if people have positive reactions to it. Surprisingly, an ANN member gave it a 3/5 rating which felt rather strange to me.
With Dragon Crisis, Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka?, and Level E coming out tomorrow, I'll have my anime weekday simulcast schedule done. Although there aren't any Wednesday and Sunday animes for me to watch, I'll just finish my huge list of series to watch.

I dont get it.....I serious dont get it......
On a japanese auction site, someone is selling a signed K-ON guitar that they won in some store prize lottery thing. I could understand that this would get up to maybe a few thousand maybe, but the current bid is up to $120,000,000 USD....
Even assuming that this is a troll bid, its still getting legitimate bids of up to 250,000 USD.
Overpriced guitar aside, even these top 5 of 2010 polling statistics gathered by Animedia magazine:
Cutest:
1. Nakano Azusa (K-ON!)
2. Hirasawa Yui (K-ON!)
3. Akiyama Mio (K-ON!)
4. Misaka Mikoto (To Aru Kagaku no Railgun)
5. Taneshima Poplar (Working!!)

1. Nakano Azusa (K-ON!)
2. Hirasawa Ui (K-ON!)
3. Yukimura Chizuru (Hakuouki)
4. Chrome Dokuro (Hitman Reborn)
5. Tenshi (Angel Beats!)

Beautifulest: <-ill point out that this is fail english
1. Akiyama Mio (K-ON!)
2. Sebastian Michaelis (Kuros***suji)
3. Sheryl Nome (Macross Frontier)
4. Hijikata Toshizou (Hakuouki)
5. Tenshi (Angel Beats!)

Most *HOT”:
1. Sanada Yukimura (Sengoku Basara)
2. Sakata Gintoki (Gintama)
3. Hirasawa Yui (K-ON!)
4. Natsu Dragneel (Fairy Tail)
5. Kotobuki Tsumugi (K-ON!)
“MVP”:
1. Hirasawa Yui (K-ON!)
2. Sakata Gintoki (Gintama)
3. Sebastian Michaelis (Kuros***suji)
4. Sawada Tsunayoshi (Hitman Reborn)
5. Date Masamune (Sengoku Basara)
Theres more, lets just say that theres 1 K-ON! character in most.

Can someone explain to me exactly what it is that makes this series so inexplicably popular. I watched the first season and thought it was ok, i watched some of the second season, was O_o 'd by the weird OP song which sounds like a cat being boiled, and then got bored with it and dropped it.

Got to the first episode of Infinite Stratos just now, and i must say that i dont think the reviews did it justice. Yes, its distinctly unoriginal in setting, but its not actually "bad".
Where i think the whole things gone wrong is its spent to much time introducing characters and setting while for the most part leaving out the main point of interest, the titular weapons system.
As much as i like looking at women, i personally would rather be looking at the science behind and function of the IS.

Despite the popularity, I don't plan to watch K-ON! anytime soon.
About that guitar, who signed it? I assume those high biddings are not because of the guitar, because this is an anime so it couldn't have been used in the series. :P
I agree with you about I.S. Although the story isn't very good, that doesn't mean it's a bad anime. I like it a lot more than Freezing and definately more than Oniichan [...].

The guitar is signed by the 5 actors who do the voices for the main characters.
As for a summary: Girls in school music club talk and drink tea and occasionally get around to playing music every 5 episodes.
Thats really all it is. No long term plot at all.
