Sure, it's pretty interesting thing to feel. I think some people force that feeling of how they know the emotion but the people voicing are humans just like you and me.
Are you on of these people who can tell despite the subtitles translating

My post was intended to read in a pseudo-sarcastic tone, the internet isn't good for tone.
A real gripe I have with dub haters (the sort of weaboo that hate all dubs simply because they aren't in Japanese) is that they seem to be able to understand all the nuances of Japanese, all the tones, all the emotion, while knowing (at best) about 3 words.
Some people have difficulties telling when someone speaking their own language is being sarcastic. I wonder how many dub haters would be able to tell the "emotion" of a scene if the background music and animation were taken away and all they had to go on was the spoken, untranslated dialogue.
It gets even worse when people ask for Japanese dubs of ENGLISH LANGUAGE SHOWS to be subtitled (in English) so they can watch them in Japanese with English subtitles because "it's better" despite the Japanese dub of the show in question being almost Universally panned, and being the equivalent of the 4kids One Piece dubbing. I've seen them ask, those people do exist.

Well I can watch subs or dubs to be perfectly honest. Though, I'd rather watch the dubs with the bigger voice actors i.e Brad Swaile, Wende Lee(not sure if i spelled it right), etc. It gives the dubs a familiar tone since I grew up listening to these in the earlier animes I watched like Gundam Wing, Cowboy Bebop, and others.
Now subs are completely different. It took some getting used to at first but I started watching subs after Gundam 00 1st season was done. I remember obsessing over wanting to see the 2nd season, thus I started watching subs. The subs, in my opinion, give much more detail into what the character is saying. It provides more emotion so long as you can stand reading a bit during the anime.

Yeah, anything that you draw besides maps and such is a cartoon, imo. And this "anime" and "magna" stuff is a pointless waste of time.
Zero, I don't know what your problem is, but I've seen a few of your posts and a lot of them arn't so friendly... I advise you to stop flaming or you'll get banned.

Lol, I've thought of so many things I could say to someone trolling on an anime thread like you. Simply put, if you don't like anime THEN STAY OFF THIS THREAD? This is for the anime fan which rs has many of, so we don't want to waste our times on trolls.

Yea the main dubs I watch are the older ones that I watched when I was little. I guess it's for nostalgic sake
