Maybe if you count the words damn and idiot/moron as swear words. Personally, i think they have become so heavily integrated into the everyday English language that they no longer qualify for the definition. I'm yet to see an anime that has a high amount of hardcore swear words in the sub.
Ive found that, at least as far as fansubbd anime is concerned, the majority of swearwords are non literal additions by the sub team to either;
A) Be funny (EG; "craptastic" - Sora- Yosuga No Sora episode one)
or B) to enforce the point (EG:Common use of F word - Mio- MM!)
Ive never encountered this on he professional subbing front. All that said, its in Japanese anyway, so the only people who would notice the swear words are those who are actually reading the subs, so most likley only those who are actually watching the show.

@Jesse, the shows i watch have offensive swear words in them, well, a lot of it. It's the norm nowadays i guess
At the dude who posted after me, I forgot your name as i started typing this post, sorry! I only watch subbed, dubbed is absoulutely awful, the accent is terrible! No offence, americans out there :P (i'm not american)
Subbed is ftw, it has that cultural feel to it, while the dubbed versions just feel fake D:
I just watched Fairy Tail episode 60, anyone else seen?

anime is not always fun, it's too Japanese for me. It is also very time consuming. If I do I watch in Japanese with English ondertiteling.Normale course the cartoons is more fun when I see it, but this is my opinion.

Wow what a coincidence I'm watching Fairy Tail too lol. Just started and already in episode 15.
I used to stay away from animes that focus too much on flamboyant display of womanly parts, as they appear fake and unrealistic, but Fairy Tail isn't half bad.
Looking to regain my interest in RS

Whether an anime has lots of hardcore swearwords in it depends mostly upon the maturity of the subber.
For example, 2 different subs of the same anime (i'll use an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's) vary between all the hardcore ones used all the time (by children as well) and between having the occasional "hell" or "damn" (which don't even qualify in many places).
I've also seen this problem with manga translations. When you have a very polite, shy character randomly using the F-word you know the translator is immature.
Herp swearing makes it better derp.
