As I expected, this thread is filled with Big 3 talk. (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece)
As an avid anime watcher, I will tell you my experience with the Big 3.
First off, I'd like to say that these shows aren't anything special. I'm not saying they're bad, and if you enjoy them, then that's great. But to be honest, there really are ALOT of MUCH better shows out there.
One Piece: I'm going to be honest and say that I don't have much experience with this. When it first aired on TV in America, I watch the first 15 or so episodes. When I realized that it was censored to death, I started to watch it in Japanese (with subtitles, of course) on the internet. It was much better than the awful censored english version, but I lost interest very soon. I will not rate One Piece because I don't know enough about it.
Naruto: My favorite of the Big 3. I was hooked since the first episode. From the Zabuza arc to the Chuunin Exam arc, (the first 30 or so episodes) I have to admit I was REALLY impressed. But then the series took a turn for the worst. After Sasuke left the Leaf Village, it really got dull and uninteresting. The last 100 or so episodes were completely unnecessary filler. Then came Naruto: Shippudden. For the first time, we get to know the actual bad guys in Naruto and see them in action. That was pretty cool and interesting, but somewhat ruined by all the whining about Sasuke. Right now in the story, it looks like things are started to get wrapped up and we could actually see an end soon.
Rating: 6/10. The characters' unique abilities and fights are cool, but that's about it. It has a mediocre story and it's often ruined by "SASUKE PLEASE COME BACK HERP DERP"
Bleach: My least favorite of the Big 3. I rarely say this, as I like almost every show I watched to some extent, but Bleach is awful. The characters look awful and ugly. The story is horrendous and going absolutely no where and is always side-tracked by fillers. Even the fights are boring as hell.

shinji i agree with you about the big 3 there are a lot of other good animes out there such as
rurouni kenshin
detective conan
d gray man
shaman king
trigun
eyeshield 21
yu yu hakusho
and about one piece my fav anime of all time i admit it is a little dull in the beggining but believe me it gets sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better so i suggest you try it a second time at least try to get up to episode 100 or chapter 100
i also like naruto i think it is a bit better than what you thought but one piece at least in my opinion is far better

Personally, I just couldn't get into the One Piece anime at all. It was really censored and just plain boring to watch. It dragged on with its episodes. Thats why I hesitated to read the manga but when I did, I really liked it. I really preferred the manga over the anime.
I still keep up with Naruto, I have for like a bunch of years, and its something to watch every Thursday. Unfortunately, its entered into its filler season so I stopped watching it until it starts its next arc.
Bleach I dropped altogether. I liked it and the characters and the fights were entertaining but I just got tired of watching it. Once it entered the Heuco Mundo arc, and every episode started to be just another fight, it got boring, so i just read the manga.

HOW CAN U SAY BLEACH FIGHT SCENES ARE BORING!?

Watch Vasto Lorde Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra on YT and tell me that it isn't a great fight.... I will say it has a bit of talking in it, but the overall fight was amazing! Also, the graphic portions are a bit lower than some of your great 26-30 episode animes simply because bleach will have 300+ episodes airing soon. Economically speaking, the makers of bleach couldn't make all the details great like they do in the movies.

Try watching something like Bleach Fade to Black, the anime is pretty detailed in it compared to the full series :D

I used to watch anime and started reading manga a bit back but I've stopped since I have gotten busy
but my top 7 animes are:
1. DragonBallZ (awesomest Evar)
2. Digimon (first 2 seasons)
3. Pokemon (first 2 seasons)
4. Sailor Moon (I don't care if it was a chick flick anime, it still rocked)
5. Gundam Wing (seen it at times and was usually interesting)
6. Shaman King
7. Inu Yasha
