Arrrg is it just me or has the Bleach series just gotten duller and duller, the anime and the manga. (but the manga is starting out with a new arc therefore allowed to be a lil bit dull - BUT STILL NO CHAD!!!
)
At first, the anime was pretty damn awesome. Just after the Grimmjow fight things started going downhill. At first, blood was red. Now it's black... While bleach is a mix of action and a bit of comedy, the anime has just overblown it so much where funny bits are just plain annoying now. Plus the censor, yes bits are a bit graphic but they could have at least tried. The bits that really ticked me off were Rangiku's wound (manga - chunk torn out of her and lots of blood, anime - clothes torn a bit and what looked like burn marks) and Uryu's arm. Once again, instead of removing flesh, let's just make it look like a 10 year old has coloured over it in crayon. Let's make the arm flop around a bit as well, that makes it look like he can't use it.
The manga, while it still contains it's gore, is really starting to annoy me now. The last arc where Aizen was going all god like and showing off was just so frustrating. If kubo was going shove in YET ANOTHER Aizen form I would have just stopped reading (although the last form did look pretty damn awesome).
The Deicide arc was oh so predictable as well, I was just surprised Ryuken didn't make an appearance. And I hate how NO ONE good dies. Hitsugaya, while cool at first, is only alive for fan service. That ice clone ass-pull did not fool anyone except die hard hitsu-fan girls... Plus, Yamamoto. Yes, he is and always will be awesome but that spell he cast was called cremation something (i forget). What did he lose? ONLY A FRICKIN ARM.
But still, I have a lot of hope for the new arc, I've stuck through Bleach this far and i'm not giving up yet :p
