Typically people give it 3 episodes before deciding to drop something. I can gauge if I like something based off the first episode. Sooo... idk, up to you. People have different tastes after all, even if some people's tastes suck.

I feel like the 3 episode rule is a relic of the past nowdays anyway. With the onslaught of cookie-cutter light novel addaptations and slice of life 4-koma addaptations we see in any given season, one episode really is all you need.

yeah i can tell if the anime is to my liking usually on the first episode. however if i'm not sure i'll give it a couple more episodes i guess. If it already finished airing, sometimes i just skip all the way to the end

I personally judge anime depending on their total number of episodes. Usually if it is a twelve episode series I'll give it a chance for two or three episodes, same with a twenty four part series.

Longer series like Hunter x Hunter, Naruto or whatever I watched twenty episodes each before dropping them. Which I think is more than enough to judge series with hundreds of episodes.
