I don't know if this is considered anime, but... Avatar: the Last Airbender... and Avatar: the Legend of Korra, is awesome!! Ha. Where I live almost everyone watches it. I usually don't watch animated things on television, but for some reason I love those two shows. Ha!! =) Sorry, if that isn't anime... I am not exactly sure on the definition of the word. I should probably look it up. Hahaha! Sorry. =)

I would suggest reading the Manga if you haven't it truly is much better than the anime. Naruto has a pretty strong story line that is based mostly on character development. I don't have much experience outside of Naruto in anime but Naruto's storyline is supported by it's excellent character analysis and development. They take a lot of time to build a character which is why there are so much flashbacks. In my opinion the anime pales in comparison to the manga. The anime is really only better for it's interpretation of fights which can't be fully shown in the manga. Other than that the manga is much better and faster as the anime does way too many fillers. Still i love both.
and to the guy above i love avatar! One of the best shows ever. I enjoy LOK a lot and like the new characters but i wish and hope they show more of the original characters which is one of the primary reasons i watch it. This next episode might have flashbacks to the old gang and might feature aang (way overdue IMO).

^Yeah, I've seen most of the anime and the manga, it was about a year or two ago that I actually dropped them both. Yes, I thought the manga was much better, but it was still lacking, in my opinion.

You actually watched DearS?! My friend persuaded me into watching one episode of that once... I said, "What the **** is this?!" and dropped it.

this time last year had just started watching some old cartoons (non anime) from my childhood which would eventually lead me to watch digimon 1st series on a anime streaming site and then watch what i consider to be my first proper anime elfen lied and then lead to the new hobby.....been a good year lol
