The characters in Konosuba are by and large one-dimensional, their personality gimmicks have been beaten to death already and S2 is doubling down on it. Aqua's a useless retard, Megumin cares about nothing but explosions, Darkness is a masochist, Yunyun has a pair of big ol anime tiddies and has no friends, etc. We've seen it all before so the humor just isn't as fresh.
