You just have to use a certain amount of common sense though. While I dont disagree that your typical anime viewer will have a higher bar for when something crosses the line into ecchi territory, and that is of course subjective to for each individual (for example, I don't consider series which are only passively sme*ual to be '*cchi' in genre). Thinking from the perspective of others is something that people can generally go (those that cant are typically sociopaths), so of course you need to consider what titles you would want to watch in public from the perspective of a hypothetical john doe rather than your own.

Anime still manages to sneak a little sme*ual content into almost everything though. Almost inevitable. I ended up just going with a few of the more tame things I'm watching this season, still felt a little ofgf about how long the camera has a tendency to linger on skirt hems.

Also, your friend is a weirdo lol agreed, and he may be a weirdo but he's the type of person I get along well wth lol, surprise!

Alright guys, I did this a few months ago and I feel like doing it again.

The first anime that somebody posts I'll go watch, assuming I haven't already seen it. Limit to 26 episodes... And please don't intentionally make me watch something bad (looking at you, Icy).

I'd give you something proper but nothing this year has been spectacularly good (excluding oregairu s2)

shokugeki no souma was alright
grisaia no kajitsu/rakuen is worth watching for yuuji
errr.....euphonium maybe? ye i got **** all this year
