Wouldn't surprise me if they made another episode or two in future. The VN is supposed to be released in multiple parts (second beat, third beat and so on) so it wouldn't surprise me if they made more OVA's to coincide with those releases.

And yup, you can feel the Angel Beats influence real strong, pretty much had the same thought after the first episode. I mean hell, they even included the 'Key coffee' thing. Spose it's not really all that surprising, it's basically the same staff list from the same studios, working on a story with the same basic formula.
