Sword Art Online is something that progressively gets worse as it goes on. You can be entertained by it, but if you stop and think about what you're actually watching you'll realize it's a steaming pile of horse ****. A lot of people have a false hatred of SAO though. It really makes me laugh whenever I see a negative review of it pop up on MAL, I go the person's profile, and what anime do they have occupying their favorites? Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, No Game No Life, Guilty Crown, Elfen Lied, Hataraku Maou-sama!, etc. All of which are similarly bad and/or overrated. Hating SAO has just become the "cool" thing to do now.

Date A Live is just utterly stupid from the start. YOU MUST SAVE THE WORD BY DATING HOT ALIEN GIRLS. Oh yeah and my loli tsundere sister who is in love with me is in charge of the organization overseeing the operation. And said organization is going to give me not-so-funny cheesy pick up lines to help me in my conquest. The whole show is riddled with generic character tropes and harem cliches repeating ad nauseum. Shidou is just like the average bumbling idiot protagonist found in similar harem anime and seemingly afraid of even touching a girl.

Most of what was described doesn't sound at all entertaining. I'll put both SAO and Date A Live to the end of my list for now. Damn anime, so much stuff gets released and there is so much to catch-up on that it feels like it'll never run out and/or end.
