^ to a limited degree. If I find a name that im familiar with in the staff or seiyuu listings then that can sometimes be enough to get me interested. The summary of the plot, the studio and the series artwork are still the tings I typically look at first though (lets face it, theres no point watching a series your not going to be interested in even if it was staffed by people you like).

Well, I'm a type of person who can get into anything as long as it's well done. I don't care much about writers (rather unimportant for a visual medium) or voice actors. Just about key animators, storyboarders, and directors (animation directors, episode directors, and of course the director of the series itself) -- the people who really matter, imo.

An interesting outlook on the subject, but one that I would find it very hard to agree with. I could watch something poorly animated with great writing, pace and characterization, but if all those were horrible but the series boasted great artwork then I probably could not. If I wanted to see something that was all style and no substance then I would go to an art gallery.
