^Complete CGI anime repulses me, but I will definitely be getting around to that sometime.

I realized I haven't posted here for quite some time other than to mock people. I gotta stop that, but it's too hard to resist it sometimes. I finally finished the Aria series the other day after putting it off for a while and yooooooooooooo. It was a little too saccharine on a few occasions, but the last season, Aria the Origination, was easily the best slice of life anime I've ever seen. Those feels were wonderful feels.

If you do watch it be sure to use SVP. The boosted frame rate makes a huge difference in visual quality.

I haven't been posting about series I've watched because the last three weeks have been devoted to the end of semester rush followed by final exams. The last show I watched was Gan****uou, which inspired me to re-read The Count of Monte Cristo. I wasn't a huge fan of the original ending (as opposed to the book) or the CGI giant mech duels that feature prominently in several episodes but everything else was pretty good.

Gan****uou was a solid series. I've never read the actual book nor do I know how it ends so I couldn't compare it to the anime. But yeah, pretty much my only qualms with the series were those mecha battles. I'm a big mecha fan, so I didn't mind their presence. They were ugly and the CGI looked pretty bad though. I didn't find it horrible enough that it couldn't be overlooked, it was still 9/10 material.

If I posted every time I watched something then I'd be up here multiple times a week. Well I just started on Saint Seiya for kicks and curiosity yesterday. I only got through the first 5 episodes and it's not interesting enough to hold my attention. It'll probably go on hold for a long time until a day comes when I feel like picking it back up.

Speaking of picking things back up, I think I'll give Mushishi another go. I tried watching it once and ended up dropping it, but that was back when I was still a major pleb. I think it's deserving of a second chance.
