Hey!

So recently, I've become a fan of the series "Darker than Black".

But, while so far I am really enjoying the first season, (episode 11/12 one of my favorites thus far). I want to know more about Season two, as I have heard conflicting reports...

What I want to know...

1.) Worth seeing?
2.) Why is it not as good as the first season?
3.) Does it leave holes, or unanswered questions?
4.) Premise behind season two is...?

Etc. It'd be a real shame for such a good series, to have a crummy ending. And I want to make sure I'm not disappointed. :)

I DON'T MIND SPOILERS--Just answer my concerns, and leave your input if you would--please!!!

I think you've confused the second cour of season one with season two. The first 26 episodes of DtB comprise season one; the second season is 12 episodes and has the addendum "Gemini of the Meteor".

I would advise watching the OVA's before season two otherwise you will be very confused and things will make no sense. That being said, season two is still confusing. It made people angry because Hei turns into a drunk hobo with no powers and the new protagonist is rather lame.

I actually liked season 2, it was still enjoyable, and I would say just watch it. The ending isn't all that bad, it can be a little open ended, but I guess that can also be a good thing.

Also just because there's a new protagonist, don't worry about Hei not being involved enough, he's still really important. Also, I never understood why people hated that he lost his powers, because it just went to prove that he doesn't need his powers to be awesome. I'd say just watch it if you really liked it.

I DID hear that he loses his powers in the second season....I hoped somebody was joking--that really (for lack of a stronger adjective)--stinks.

I recommend any fans of Elfen Lied to check out Brynhildr in the Darkness. There are a bit of similarities and it's an enjoyable watch so far. It started airing in April and is still ongoing.

a bit similar? ha ha its virtually the same plot just a bit more cheerful enjoyable watch though as you say
