~Kanon 2006 Review~

I just finished watching the last episode at 2 am in the morning, lol. Anyways, I really enjoyed this anime, even though it was a little more complex than Clannad. Here's my Pros and Cons of the anime:

Pros:
- There was a good mix of Drama and Comedy.
- I really liked the art, except the eyes weren't that great in the beginning (but they got better as the anime went on)
- There were some moments that caused me to tear up, which is good.

Cons:
- Even though MAL tagged the anime as a Romance anime, it really didn't have much of a romantic plot. Towards the end, it seemed like there was one with Yuuitchi and Ayu. However, it just wasn't that good, IMO.


Overall, I give this anime a 9/10. It was a really good anime with sad moments, but I was kinda disappointed at the lack of a romantic plot. As for the Clannad vs Kanon debate that seemed to be in the comment section of the videos, I personally think Clannad is better.

I think that would be rather accidentally spoilerish if people were to post that. Unless however people first post the show and then proceed to describe the scene after warning about spoilers...

I'm not going to spoil anything, but I'll just say episode 82 of LoGH. Either that or "How Disgusting (Kimochi Warui)." You should recognize that line.

I'll throw out one more quote "After all, it's the chase that I really love." I will warn you people to not go and Google that, as you will spoil yourself big time on something great. I doubt anybody here would recognize it though.

shana season 3 final episode didnt really enjoy the last season as much as the first 2 but damn I waited 70+ eps for that kiss

seconded on the LOTGH scene episode 84

white album 2 (earns mentioning wa2 he doesnt do that very often does he) The airport scene raiken probably knows what im on about.

Last season of Shana was terrible. The ending was to be expected though, didn't really stand out to me. I thought of some more scenes:

In addition to episode 82 of LoGH, I also nominate the final episode (110).
Two certain scenes in Planetes.
The ending of Texhnolyze.
The ending of Gunbuster.
The ending of Metropolis.
A certain episode in Touch.
The ending of TTGL.
The ending of Space Runaway Ideon.
The last battle in Sword of the Stranger (Best sword fight in anime).
The ending of Heroic Age.
The last race in Redline.

its not so much that it stood out it was just a show I ended up getting emotionally involved in was the longest show I had ever seen at the time 72eps so to see it end like that made me very very happy.

Im also going to add there were many scenes in Gan****uou that I loved as well its so easy to marathon that show..

Lol, I actually came up with the name Runman way before I knew what anime was. It was supposed to be rune man, but run man sounded better as I like to run. But yea, if I'm really interested in an anime, I usually don't stop watching unless there's a real life event.

Favorite scene? There's so many to choose from, but if I had to say one, I'll say the last episode of After Story.

As for Shana, the series was pretty good the first 2 seasons, but it went downhill the last season. Season 3 (especially the ending) was very bizarre. I'd give the series a 9/10 if it was just the first 2 seasons, but the third season brings it down to a 7/10 for me.

Thirded the scene of episode 84 in LOGH
Asuka's last stand in EoE
And I'll also have to second the WA2 airport scene (such a triumphant and beautiful moment)

There are a ton of scenes that I'm probably forgetting, but those are my main 3.
