I've been listening to Radio 2 most of the evening. Their playlist has been tailored to this sad event and although some might dub it overly-sentimental I think the songs they have played have been dignified, tasteful and very fitting.

I feel so sad for Queenie. It must be a devastating blow to lose one's life companion of so many years.

Very sad. He lived a remarkable life and has used his position for immense good that will have a lasting impact. Thoughts are with his family who hopefully can use this as a reason to get together and sort out their problems.

Sad news.

99 is a great age though. Hope I can be as a healthy as he was in his 90's.
