Taken today. No idea what it's called but it's been flowering all Winter.
Ladybird on a dandy lion.
Macro shot of the same ladybird. You can see the pollen. It's not perfect but it was taken handheld and windy.
Not sure why but today I saw well over 30 ledybirds in my garden. Most I've seen in 17 years I've been here. So expect more pictures of them in the future.

I took that before my dog crushed it a few days ago. Forgot to post it.
I'm not 100% happy with it as it looks out of focus. Even though it's auto focus camera it still looks funny.
Maybe I just need more practice.
Tuffty - the out of focus effect often happens with Macro Photography, even with shots taken on a tripod by a remote trigger.
It is known as Chromatic Aberration and easily fixed with post shot processing.
I would have loved it a little lighter but conditions don't allow it yet. If they are still there later or tomorrow I'll take another few pictures. They have layed eggs all over my garden. Guess what they are lol.....

What is that? Goodness gracious they're giving me the hibbie-jibbies!
Btw, has anyone ever seen snail eggs? I've seen them, I'm grossed out by them.
That picture is amazing. The figure is to the right of center. Below center and your eye just follows to the left. The light and dark spots are great. I can't get over how you did that lol. 1 day I should be able to do them as good. It's stunning.

Thank you so much! Appreciate it!
I took the photo in Japan, in the prefecture of Kyoto. It's at a place called the Inari shrine, where its a mountain of one thousand shrines. I'm not sure if you've been there, but I definitely recommend it!
