Pretty self-explanatory title, with the lead up to the festivities of Christmas and New Year's Eve I thought I'd ask,
what did you just eat?

You can give as much or as little detail as you like, but I'm sure I'm not alone when I say we all want to imagine the delicious food you were just eating in detail!

To kick things off, I just had a delicious meal consisting of assorted tempura (prawn, eggplant, potato, carrots) and sushi, accompanied with a lovely side of salad and miso soup ^_^

Last time I ate was last night.

I opened a can of stewed tomatoes, cut up some left over ham stake, lightly toasted bread torn into about 2 inch pieces (suppose to be day old bread), left over mac and cheese, a little bit of sugar to help neutralize the acidity of the tomatoes and some left over green beans. Mixed it together and popped in the microwave. After it was good and hot, I added sharp cheddar cheese on top.

Nothing to write home about, but it tasted good and filled an empty spot. Plus I got rid of a lot of left overs that wasn't enough for a meal by themselves.

Sounds like a good way of using the leftovers for a decent meal. I just made myself a curry with the leftover vegetables I had, consisting of carrots, potatoes and some diced steak. I always find curry is an easy way of getting rid of leftovers.

I've just had a home made sandwich for lunch. Crusty bread, mature cheddar cheese with a generous amount of spiced apple and pear chutney. Yummy! I'd give it a 7/10.

Sounds delicious! Did you have it toasted or just as is?

Might give it a try myself.

The bread was lovely and fresh so I didn't toast it.

I like the sound of vonSageworth's use of various leftovers. Great idea.
