I hope you feel better soon Sal J.

My eldest son texted me to say he's booked a booster shot at a place near here so he can get it when he's with us over Christmas/New Year. That means I can look after him if he reacts to it. His first 2 were AstraZeneca and the booster will be Pfizer ( or Moderna ). My hubby didn't have much of a reaction with that combination but I'm happier to have son with us jic.

The above link is a very interesting read.

Not sure why it's not been done before.

Read it and see what I mean. It's long over due.

Would save a lot of sore arms including mine which is still swollen and sore 5 days after the jab. :@

That has to be good news too.

Thanks for all the well-wishes. Only until tomorrow until I can leave quarantine. I didn't have many symptoms, none now for the last 3 days, and I had only 1 symptom, which was a weird headache.

I heard from my youngest son today. he and his wife have booked their booster shots for Monday afternoon BUT they're at a hospital about a 45 minute drive from their home. He said there were no appointments available that were closer until early January and even those weren't a lot nearer. Thank goodness he has a car.

UK daily cases just hit an all-time daily high :(

78,610 new cases reported today.
The previous record was 68,053 on the 8th of January.

On the positive side a lot more people have now been vaccinated so it might stop the infection being as serious.

There's also a new treatment that seems to be showing good results:

@Rooh,

That's a crazy high number! I'm flying back Friday night, preparing for the incoming travel and local chaos lol. A couple of British friends from Toronto who flew over a couple of weeks ago for Xmas and New Years have now caught Covid and in isolation until Xmas Eve :/

So we'll see how it goes :/
