In New Zealand they are encouraging//wanting everyone in seven Auckland suburbs to be tested for Covid.
There's people out there that get sick, don't get tested, don't isolate and spread the Covid disease, in this case it's the Delta variant. It only takes one sick person to crippled a city. It's such a simple thing to do, Stay home, get tested if you are sick or unwell. Because if one or more people not isolating, not getting tested that Auckland level 4 lockdown is being extended. Some very selfish people out there; they even spread it to a hospital.
People are catching covid even after they get vaccinated aren't they? Also how long before another variant pops up?
We shall say "Ni" again to you, if you do not appease us.

I've just read that the number of deaths from Covid after double vaccination is very low. In England there were 51,000 deaths from Covid between January and July this year. Of those just 256 had been double vaccinated and they had serious underlying health conditions.
My source was the BBC news site

This is true, there are breakthrough cases but for the most part, when you break down total daily cases for a given country or area, fully vaccinated individuals make up a smaller % of that total and that's typically the case for not only infections but hospitalizations, ICU admissions and deaths as well.
Not only that, but cases in those who are fully vaccinated, for the most part, do not get as ill or require any hospital treatment.
In terms of future variants, another variant has already popped up, hence the urgency for as many people (who can be vaccinated) to get vaccinated so that it doesn't have any unnecessary room to spread and mutate further but the reality is, Covid isn't going away, it's more about lessening its impact on us, our health and health systems.

Yes, as you must have read, if you've been vaccinated the symptoms are mild and less likely to die.
There already is a stronger variant than Delta, there are some links several plus pages back give or take

I go for my second jab tomorrow morning.
Good luck.
Few in the UK here are having a 3rd jab as an extra booster.
Seems with Winter just around the corner thoughs who are in danger are best to have it to protect them a little more.
I thought 2 jabs was great news but 3 I'm not sure about it. I can have it but not the same dose as the 2 jabs I've all ready had. Has to be a different 1 due to side effects. I think I'll stick to the 2 as it gives me good protection.
