I have 2.5k and I want to build a pc for the next 10+ years.

I want a future proof pc so the more cores the processor has the better and that's why I like the 1950x! Or something similar...

I will be buying a gpu retail price and nothing more so I will spend around 400-500 for the gpu alone.

I want 32-64 gb of rgb ram!

I want rgb motherboard

I need a good and reliable psu, possibly::: you guessed it! rgb!

As for hardrive well I don't think i'd wanna pay so much for the ssd and get way less storage so i'll probably get the hd for 5k+ gb of storage!

I need oem windows so idk how to get that. I also want my windows 11 to have a windows vista layout otherwise I'll just be keeping windows vista on the pc.

On this pc I will be mining, playing runescape, making videos, streaming, playing combat arms, playing cod and battlefield, I would play wow if it had bonds to pay for my membership like rs, I wish that I could also play arcanists...

So yea post your suggestions on what components I should get!

You'll regret not getting an SSD, they make a huge difference.
Just get a small one (they're not expensive nowadays) for your OS and apps, then a larger HDD for storage.

If it's just for gaming, 32 Gb is possibly overkill and 64 is just wasting money.
I've got 16Gb in my setup and it's plenty, even when I'm running large Pro Tools sessions.
If you were thinking you might need that much for mining... you don't :P

You didn't mention a GPU and that's the component that will have the biggest effect on your gaming. What did you have in mind?

32GB RAM is beginning to make sense for gaming, having recently upgraded from 16GB personally. Microsoft Flight Simulator is extremely demanding (seen it use 18GB) and probably a sign of things to come.

As for building a PC in general, unless you are willing to pay over the odds for previous generation parts, it is a very bad time to do so. The combination of the pandemic, scalpers and currency mining has contributed towards significant manufacturing and supply issues.

No one needs an ssd anymore..... get an nvm3 or m2 drive.

Buy a smaller motherboard with less sata ports, and get a big sata hdd for storage.

I agree. Don't buy a computer. Graphics cards are literally 1,000% more espevice than they should be because of crypto. Buy a sick mobile phone to play rs and regain the space in the corner of ur room.

Have u seen those memes.... "gamer spends $5000 on pc and is :( dude spends $1000 on mobile phone and plays games is :) "

I can vouch for that. I haven't felt better since packing up my computer 2 years ago. I hardly play rs anymore, but in the last 2 years I've made bigger gains than ever.... ge is easy. Logging in for keys is easy. I've made bigger rs gains by playing less.

Before the days of treasure hunter and all, I was a dirty grinder..... I remember woodcutting magic logs for 25k-30k xp an hour. Now I log in an get a lamp and a star can get like 50k xp in 10 seconds.

I feel like the best way to play rs (in its current format) is less rs.

Put ur computer away. Play rs mobile.

Vista is no good yea.... but if I was building a computer I'd use xp... I mean, I have an xp clone that is like fully maxed. It's outrageous. Nowadays none of the programs have really changed, they've just added ads and locking u out of programs unless u pay.... my xp clone has everything. Crazy stuff.

I never lost control of system 32.

Ps, I never made virtual machines. I'm a clone wars guy.

Good point. I should've remembered that seeing as it's what I use in mine (NVM2)

Nice. I just use my phone and have a nice big space where my desk (and mess) used to be. I don't even have cable net... I just have mobile net but I'm super special and get unlimited mobile data $20 a month which streams 1080p... which is still a bit of a rip off considering if I pulled my computer out I could hack the local phone boxes WiFi and get free internet :(

I don't think I'll ever buy another computer.

Ps, I found a way using windows 7 starter to access the internet in open networks without logins. It works at public phones, works at McDonald's, works at hotels, works at the library.... I have a clone :p (the only problem is I can't connect to the WiFi and broadcast hotspot on Windows starter at the same time).
