Butchery: A skill that goes back 1000's of years.
Killed creatures drop meat. Certain meats can just be cooked for eating, like chicken and most fish, others need a Butcher. Certain Fish will hurt you if just eaten but a very skilled Butcher can remove the poison and give you a very high healing delicacy.
There are so many creatures available to create levels and a knife is the only tool you will ever need, a clay knife, even better!
The Butchered meats can be sold to cooks to make new and exciting foods or just sold as a new food source.
Salmon caviar to Steel Dragon tenderloin the possibilities are almost endless.
This skill could directly support fishing, hunting, slayer, cooking, and all combat skills.
Edit from later posts:
I envisioned training to be similar to fletching. We kill hundreds of creatures here in the lands of RS and an extremely small percentage drop any form of meat. I see this an an opportunity.
All of these creatures could drop some form of a carcass. These could then be butchered using a knife and sold to folks that would cook the then processed meat and turn it into food. An example would be when you kill a green dragon. The drop would include a dragon carcass.
You could sell this carcass as it is to someone working on their Butchery skill or butcher it yourself and sell the dragon steak to someone working on their cooking skill or cook the steak yourself and then use it for the food needed to kill another dragon.
There are hundreds of creatures to set up as different levels. You could add a butchery shop to your POH and add different tools for added xp. Different knives, saws, and cleavers would be available for higher lever Butchers. There could be meat markets where you could sell or buy meats to be cooked.
This would support all your combat skills where a creature is killed and definitely support the cooking skill without adding even more to an already very diverse skill.
See below for a couple more thoughts from posts

Setting up training would be easy, like gem cutting except with meats and fish. Just an example, blue dragons drop blue dragon meat when killed, a level 50 butcher would be able to cut the meat into blue dragon steaks for 65 butchery xp each. Blue dragon meat could be cooked by a lever 50 cook, for cooking xp, and would give 12 hp healing when eaten (and maybe a slight strength boost just to add a value to the new foods that would be available).
Edit from later posts:
The hope is that many new foods would become available so we aren't all mostly relying on fish as our main source of high quality food.
These new foods could have other skill based bonuses when eaten as well.
I would like to see new foods and meats that give more than just healing. For centuries people have eaten different foods because they believed they prevented disease, gave them extra energy, extra strength, improved concentration, memory, and stamina. There are even food that folks eat because it brings them closer to their god (prayer). Right now these bonuses are limited to potions from herblore.

Please take a moment to read the comments and suggestions from Mark1783 and Neon Flare on page 24.
Different butcher blocks could be made in the new butchery room added to your POH. Better butcher blocks made from better wood (construction skill) would have an added benefit. Various butchery tools wound be made from various ores (smithing skill). The better the butcher knives the better the cuts of meat and the more of them.
If you don't have the construction skills needed to make your room then you could rent a butcher table in one of the various butcher shops around Runescape. Carcasses and processed meats could be bought and sold there as well.

"lol.. maybe someady..but not effective training..what if JaGex makes the materials for training non trainable?"
Sorry, I don't really understand what you are saying. There are loads of things we kill here that could drop meat that don't at this point. All this new dropped meat could them be butchered into something usable and then possibly cooked as an addition to the cooking skill. There are probably well over a hundred things that could be butchered and used for steps in training this skill. The unbutchered meat would all be tradable and so would the butchered pieces so folks could train by buying unbutchered meat or kill the creatures themselves. The butchered meat could then be purchased by cooks to train cooking.
