It would be a huge import of food for pvp players and players who love combat. I say the rarer the meat for example, Bandos meat :o if you eat the bandos meat (cured by a level 88 butcher) it also gives you a huge bonus towards prayer, defence, other stats. I like the idea

I, as well, have spent a great many years working in a very snooty restaurant, but as a manager. Although the cooks and chefs regularly break down large cuts of meat, they almost never see anything that hasn't first seen a butcher. Its the butcher that takes the whole cow and guts, skins, cleans, and breaks it down into the desired sections that arrive in your restaurant for the cooks and chefs to work with. All the beef, pork, and poultry that you have received as a chef has first seen a butcher, with no exceptions.
The second part of this skill is the advantage of being able to introduce lots of new food to the game that could have increased advantages other than just a hp healing value. I think we need a new skill to introduce all the new food possibilities rather that just tacking onto the cooking skill.
