Nice idea, I support!

I can see potential in minigames similar to Gnome Deliveries, where players must prepare and cook certain meats for restaurant customers.

Would be great if more creatures dropped hides/furs which could be crafted into clothing along with new meat. Wouldn't necessarily need to be armours, just interesting clothing.

I believe there's a huge potential here for Jagex to update the drop system adding carcasses and additional drops from the vast majority of creatures we kill. In doing so it would definitely reinvigorate folks to go back and fight with creatures they may not have battled with in years.

I'm going to try and develop the training method a bit more here if it is to your liking feel free to use it. If I suggest something can be harvested, that item is no longer obtainable as a drop.

The basic idea is that you harvest the carcass of dead animals after they have been killed. The Carcass disappears when the respawn timer is done. In other words creatures that can be harvested no longer disappear and reappear.

This is also only 1 of 2 methods used to train the skill, the second method involves preparing these items, such as gutting fish, or cleaning Dragon heartstrings (The bank sitting method)

Level 1 - Harvest Chicken Meat - 23 exp
Level 3 - Harvest Eggs and Feathers 1 egg + 5 feathers per Carcass - 23.2exp
Level 7 - Harvest Cow Meat and Hides - 25exp
Level 10 - Harvest Imp Horns* and Imp hides 29.1exp
Level 11 - Giant Rat Meat - 41.2exp
Level 15 - Harvest Bear Fur (25%) and Bear Meat - 42exp + 58exp
Level 17 - 50% Chance of harvesting Chicken Meat (Quality)* - 109exp
Level 19 - 50% chance of harvesting Cow Meat (Quality)* - 122exp
level 21 - Harvest 1 Wolf Fur and 1 Wolf Meat - 156exp per carcass
Level 24 - Harvest Unicorn Horn - 191exp
Level 31 - ???
Level 38 - Harvest Rotting Flesh* (Zombies) - 253exp
Level 41 - Harvest Giant Spider Venom* - 297.7exp
Level 44 - Harvest Vulture Meat and Crocodile Skin* - 228.6exp each
Level 49 - Harvest Flesh Crawler legs* - 349.9exp
Level 55 - Harvest 1 Yak Hide and 1 Yak Hair - 492.3exp per carcass
Level 60 - Harvest 1 Lesser Demon Horn* - 609.5exp
Level 63 - Harvest Cyclopian Eye* - 401.7exp
Level 70 - Harvest Unicorn Meat* (10% chance) - 724exp
Level 75 - 50% Chance of Harvesting 2 Lesser Demon Horns* - 609.5exp

(WIP and Subject to change) - Feel free to add your own suggestions to level requirements to exp to anything else. :)

I really enjoyed reading through this. I think it is a fantastic idea.
I also had some thoughts:

When you mentioned killing a creature, I envisioned it, instead of disappearing entirely right after a fight, a corpse appeared.
For example: You kill a Cow and a Cow carcass appears (as well as bones). You then harvest the carcass for Cow meat (replacing the current Cow meat, and this is not edible)
You then use the new Butchery skill to cut the Cow meat into (for example), 4 Cow steaks. You would then be able to cook the Cow steaks as you would with current normal Cow meat.
- Another possible option would be to not have the carcass and just have the large cow meat which requires cutting into smaller Cow steaks.

As for Fishing, I envisioned replacing the current (once cooked) edible 'whole' Raw shark with a new Raw shark which first needs to be cut into multiple pieces (using the Butchery skill) before being cooked and eaten.
- Just a quick example for those confused:
I fish for Sharks
I catch a Raw shark
I cut the Raw Shark into 2 (or more) pieces
I cook the Shark pieces
and I eat.

This would require a whole rework of meats and fish currently in-game but would definitely make things more realistic. ~ IMO

Another addition, killing dragons should result in a Dragon type dragon carcass.
Example:
Killing a Green dragon would result in:
A Green dragon carcass - You would need to remove the green dragon skin from the meat.
You would then receive: 1x Green dragonhide and 1x Dragon meat
Using the Butchery skill you would chop the Dragon meat into an edible size (probably multiple pieces) enabling it to be cooked and eaten.

I would also think that ALL dragons would have the same meat as they're all the same size. As for metal dragons, I think that they would just drop the Dragon meat with the metal bars as they currently do (requiring not to remove the skin).

I think that the level requirements would range on the size of the creature as well as lvl.
