Thanks Alpha, I try to bump my threads at least twice a day and even at that dropping into the teens is very common.
Any bumps are greatly appreciated.

In refference to the Clay Knife, they already have a Kitchen knife! It is obtained from the "Recipie for Disaster" quest.

One of the best suggestions for a new skill i've seen.
I definately support this, I know that it wouldn't excite many but atleast it is something new and actually helps with other aspects of training other skills.
The Reasoning behind butchery being a skill just doesn't see to be efficient enough. It's like asking for a skill just for us to be able to play music.
What you're describing is Cooking Preparation. It'd be better suggested as "In Addition to the Cooking Skill" Like the barbaric methods of catching fish with your hand. It's still fishing but a different way.
Refine this and it's possible to get this into the game; however, if you look at a new skill all together Jagex will most likely turn it down, or take it into a small consideration.
It sounds like cooking, also, what about the vegetarians? It would be a skill they would absolutely despise having to train.
=\
I'm not a vegetarian but I would hate that skill, it sounds horrific.
It sounds like a good skill to involve between the fishing and cooking skills

As to the above poster,
There could be a like 'preparation' or something like that skill where you can prepare and butcher all kinds of things. Just an idea
I really dont see this becoming a new skill.
what i do see is something like this becoming a nice add on to cooking. cutting meat into select portions, cuts, and removing poisons as such is under the eye of a chef.
not only butchers are able to do that sort of stuff.
So i see this as a add on to cooking, not as something that can become a new skill.
I don't think this would make much sense as a new skill, and if anything, it could be a portion of the Cooking skill with some combat-related interactions.
At the end though, I don't see at all how it would fit the expectations of a new skill!
