Sounds alot better than dungeonerring! And for the skill cape a piece of meat appers and your character hacks at it with a butchers knife!!! NAd the cape is white with red splattered and if has 2 butchers knifes with a piece of meat. (sorta like skull and crossbones!!!) I support 110%!!! :D

I don't think it could be a separate skill front cooking and I don't really see it being added to cooking. However, saying that, it's still a good idea.
