8redsox,
Thanks for the comments. I had started to put together a list of possible creatures that could be used for this suggestion and started setting up all the leveling possibilities and then realized that Jagex would probably redo everything anyhow if they liked the suggestion.
Honestly I don't really care that much if there is ever a Butchery skill. It was just a passing idea that some folks liked.
Whats more important is the idea of having more skills at greater intervals. Butchery is just one of many ideas out there.
I think this might make a nice add-on to cooking... maybe if you added more i could be a skill. Maybe a cooking shop that has EVERY food/drink in the game, raw or cooked, doesn't matter, it'd be there. that would be so cool.
color of the animal woodnt necesary drop that color. color within all aniamls remains the same. its like if sum1 cut you open what wood come out green blood? blue blood yellow blood? or red blood? i wood half to say no support. good suggestion though i like it.
most people know that color of blood changes meat color. why do u think when u buy beef at store meat is always red? its because red blood sat soaking in that for many years making it that color. color from outside has nothin to do with what is inside. its like saying...i killed a green dragon do i get green dragon bones to? well anywaysim not trying to flame you..im tryin to point out the errors it has.
Hello Epic Furion, Thanks for getting back to me. I enjoy the discussion and the debate, if you can't tell.
Ok, I'm with you now.
As far as the dragons I was thinking of this as we know cattle to be. There are hundreds of different types of cattle and although the rancher usually picks the cattle he/she is going to raise by their suitability to the climate they are going to live, different ones make better steaks than others. A Guernsey cow is a milking cow and just doesn't produce a very good steak, while Angus makes a great steak.
I would like to see different foods give different energy boosts like potions do without piling more onto cooking.
If a Green dragon steak healed 12 hp and gave a +5% strength boost then a Black dragon steak should just be a better steak and heal maybe 18 and gives a +10% strength boost.
I'd like to be able to kill a dragon, butcher its carcass, build a fire, and cook the steak, eat it, and get back to the fight.
