Isn't this just an aspect of the cooking skill? I mean you put together pies and pizza and we don't have the baker skill. This could just be added to the cooking skill. Unless you also think we should have the candle making skill instead of adding that to the crafting skill.

Bump!
You peer into a Chapel of Zamorak, which appears to be abandoned. Before you can close the doors again, a Revenant Chaos-Bringer flies at you and slays you instantly with a bolt of Shadow Lightning. Oh dear! You are dead!

^ They could be, but at the same time we could have strip steaks, filet mignon, rib eye steaks, london broil steaks, porterhouse steaks, spare ribs, sausage, etc. All things that need to be cooked by a cook and each having a different boost to a variety of abilities when eaten. And this from just a cow. Add hundreds of other creatures n the game as well.
We could also have a variety of knives, cleavers, and saws that require a higher skilled butcher to use, and a higher skilled smither to make, and with these better and better tools the better skilled butcher would likely get more and better steaks from every carcass. There could also be a variety of cutting blocks located at Butchery shops around Runescape that could be rented to process your various carcasses as well as the ability to create a butchery room in your POH that could be equipped with this better equipment if your construction level was high enough.

I guess sweetbreads, intestines, etc could be added as well but I doubt its necessary.

Again, Butchery and Cooking are completely different professions and take a completely different set of skills.

By that logic, there should be a "tanning" skill, a "potting" skill, a "sculpting" skill, a "baker" skill, a "weaving" skill, and a bunch more.

^ There could be but I happen to like the idea of a Butchery skill, ergo I have written this thread. I don't happen to think the skills you've mentioned fit in as nicely with a game full of creatures that many you are required to kill using all sorts of weapons in a mid-evil setting. As I've said before I would like to butcher, cook and eat a blue dragon steak.
You're welcome to disagree.
