i think you have misunderstood my first post entirely. and have taken it to be a literal sense of "not need motivation" of course there is some motivation otherwise you wouldnt do it.
what i was saying was in relation to the first part of my post. of needing an unlock

like you got 200m hunter for 200m hunter, the motivation was wanting 200m. thats it that is what it should stay as.

i will rephrase my first post with 1 added word. which will be highlighted yellow

you can add your own motivations for 200m, such as a race between yourself and a friend etc. obv thats added motivation. but my post was in reference to your idea. of it being titles and emotes. nothing else.

so, to get 200m the only motivation in game should be just wanting 200m. nothing else. no unlocks no titles, no perks.

otherwise people will go for 200m just for the titles. and that is not what 200m xp is about.

I see, if you'd put it this way, then I understand where you're coming from. In that case, to you, what is a 200m xp all about? Considering you're a 5.6B yourself, what are the factors/drives that makes you want to achieve those?

So, you don't like this suggestion, but you haven't said why, other than not wanting change.
Why should someone's motivation to do something bother you? If it doesn't harm others. Bob says:

indeed cosmetics are want based. thats why this would be a bad idea as it would go into the 200m category

it doesnt bother me? where did i say it bothered me? you have definitely not understood my post(s), im not wanting to spam this thread by repeating myself over and over.
so after this post that will be it.

200m is almost double lvl 120. which is currently the highest xp with an ingame reward. people already see this as too much. and claim are "forced" into doing something they dont want to do. (i claim on those thread they arent forced it is still a choice). why do they feel forced? because they feel they have to get every unlock ingame. if you now add it to every single skill. they are now going to feel forced into doing 200m all. when the only skills with an unlock at 120 atm are herb farm slay invention dg. if they are 120 in these skills and didnt do 120 in other skills (most likely) they are now going to feel forced into training not just the few skills at half xp to 200m. but all skills to 200m. this would be enough to make many people quit. as the end game isnt now a total of 793m xp (rounded down). its now 5.6b, a 7x increase. people see maxing as a daunting task already and spend years doing it. 200m with unlocks will now be seen as the new max when it has an unlock. because this is runescape we saw it was comp / trim on release.

but its not on me to say why this shouldnt happen. thats not why i am here. its on the op to explain why its a good idea. that hasnt happened yet

yes you are right what i said is my opinion. so what? thats what everyone has done here. my opinion is 200m should not be something with an unlock. thats it. end of. you are wanting something more from me? why? this is not the place for me to expand on that more in which i already have, i voiced my opinion to the op. on something i do feel strongly of, for the longevity of the game. thats what forums are for, opinions. they are good things.

and this isnt a thread on why this shouldnt happen. this is a thread that isnt mine, that is someone saying x should happen. i voiced my opinion saying that i dont think its a good idea. that is it.
its not my job, or my want, or need, to go to a thread and do what you are asking here. thats not what the forums are for. im here for a discussion. and to read others peoples views. (views being opinions something you seem to have an issue with)

so yes its not for me to explain why its a bad idea. but for the op to explain why its a good one. i can voice my opinion which i did. and i did it with explanation. i didnt just come in say 'support' or 'no support' i conversed with them. i realised in this page or last page miscommunication happened. and i fixed that by changing my first post. and OP was happy with that and my reasoning / explanation. you are not. for some reason. i was going to leave it there, instead of bringing it up again, to keep thread going w discussions
either way i hope my previous post is good enough reason as to why i dont want 200m skills / 200m all having unlocks. which i have voiced in many many threads on the subject

and to OP to answer your question. ill be blunt and quick, and its probably disappointing answer. i just like gaining xp. and to me 200m xp is endgame for me, its what ive enjoyed doing.
