RS3 has never been focused on PVP and they haven't been successful, .
thats a strong claim that its not successful. why / how is it not successful? it seems to be doing very well. sure not at ats peak but everything has a peak.
what has been successful is removal of pvp from wilderness. rs3 community does not want pvp.
Player numbers show RS3 hasn't been successful and that is the most important thing here. If you want to go deeper, RS3 only supports a handful of things that RS2 did and that's being NICE. Btw it's not a strong claim, it's an easy one.
What peak are you referring to? the peak with everyone transitioning from RS2 to RS3 and eventually losing all of those players within a few months after EOC and not able to build a good foundation after 10 YEARS to regain those players? or the small peak of players they've had with luring players back to their game while others quit?
Currently holding 27,000 players online with a beach event and the announcement of a new skill, not including subtracting botters/AFKers/multi loggers and more that would make those numbers go poof.
--------
Player numbers have most certainly not risen with the removal of PVP from the wilderness, I myself quit the game more than I already had when they announced the removal of PVP from the wilderness and implemented their new ridiculous system they have today.
Mod Jack even confirmed that the wilderness was not a success and that's why they completely nerfed it. I guarantee 80% or more of the small amount of people going into the wilderness today are iron players because of the easy rewards it gives, nothing more.
Always think creatively, and you shall be creative.
