People keep trying that scam. Make a mental note, m not k. Also, you can insist on pure shards only, to make the math easier.

I had the same issue with santa hats when they went above max cash.
I was really glad because i went with a friend who told me that they tried it on them which made me more cautious.

there was 1 guy trading like 2147k coins and a few mil shard but as i calculated even with 2147m coins+ those shards it was like 2.4b (back when santas were like 3.6b) so i felt something was off. but people use scams because they do work sometimes which is rather sad.

Sadly as you guys and gals know you can't name and shame. Rememver these are easy to spot scams and can be reported ingame. So always report even if you don't do the full trade.
