Why Are Hween Masks So Cheap

It's not the same green though. The Party Hat Green is Neon Green while the Hween mask is Grass Green.

Back on Topic: I've been looking hard at this problem; for a way to make Hween masks Fashionscape Meta. I think I may be onto something. I cannot reveal it quite yet as it requires more testing.

I don't want to hype things up too much, but if my theory holds true, it could be the beginning of a New Order.

I've just been having difficulties getting the formula right. Early on, I was leaning heavily Towards Green Hween as it has the most meme potential, sharing similarities with Troll and Pepe in appearance and in that regard would have the most impact from a symbolic standpoint.

However I still have to examine Red and Blue in greater detail, for all I know, they could yield a greater, more visually impactful end result.

But for now just know, I am working on it.

I don't think "fashionscape" is needed, every other rare (including edibles) has tripled in price, hweens have been the only rares to stay stagnant for 10 years,

If anyone is looking for an undervalued rare with the most potential to rise, as merchers should do, I think it is clear which ones have the most growth potential now.

Aesthetics plays a huge part in the value of a rare. The price discrepancy you are witnessing is largely due to the fact that graphically, Hween mask is obsolete, and has not been able to successfully incorporate itself into modern fashionscape.

Price is not merely based on rarity, that is a fallacy. If the item has no aesthetic desirability, then it has no utility in a modern outfit and is relegated to nothing more than a low priority investment.

A Santa Hat retains it's value, A Party Hat retains it's value, because these items have a simple design, they have aged relativity well and are still compatible with modern day aesthetics.

The Hween mask on the other hand, looks like a relic. As it was much more ambitious a design, at the time it was considered impressive but now it is laughable.

However it does have certain qualities that can be taken advantage of, and in my opinion, if utilized correctly by a master, it can be reinvigorated and at least be relevant in modern day fashionscape which is what I intend to do. I think I have a solution. A combination that is undeniably awesome and will change the way the Hween mask is utilized visually.

I consider this a worthy challenge for the foremost fashionscape minds of Runescape. To once again make the Hween mask relevant. It is practically our duty to make it so. It is too important historically to be regarded as roach.

Here in F2P, those who can afford them tend to wear them proudly. I don't often see members come by in H'ween Masks, but they are definitely still a large part of the wealthier community in F2P. I see roughly as many H'ween Masks as I do Santa Hats. Maybe even a few more.

they definatly are not cheap now(vs the 500mish), wish i never ate the zombie walk token, it is not even marked as "rare" aka - might come back and crash. but hweens got history. cant find one for 1.7b and ended up with pumpkin for 1.4b , which i guess is even older.

I literally logged on to the forum for the first time in years to ask the exact opposite question xD

When I stopped playing about a year ago, I managed to snag a blue mask for maybe 400m-ish, from memory? (Starting with a pumpkin, then green mask, then blue). Logged in recently, saw the GE value and went "WAT" haha

I'm thinking about playing again but I don't even know what I'd spend all that money on o_o

I found out recently that weens have a special animation if you wear them with the zombie walk active, where the mouth "gape" open, which is a pretty cool interaction. I wish they did that normally.

Also yes...they are ugly :@ did my cat give birth

Cant downplay that masks are great items to flip that alone make them valuable.
if i were to pick them in order it'll go Red Green then blue last.
blue masks being the least traded out of the three

Theres plenty of worse rare's just to mention two Pumpkins|Eastereggs cant even wear them
