thursday 9.20.18 a couple things

I'm gonna maintain that these traits have a value by themselves, but with a % difference of it based on animal, like 95% penalty to jackalopes and lizard chickens, some small penalty for yaks, but then a pretty big amplifier if they occur on dragons.

16m for radiant
12m for genetic instability
4m for studly IFF on 1st slot of 2t and up

7-8m for a checked dragon egg
12-20m for an ado drag (depending on proximity to reset)
10-20m for an elder drag (see value of traits above which may modify this)
25-50 for any 3 trait on any dragon (see values above for traits + breath)

it seems like a breath is worth a difference of 10m or so, cause it can really save you some rerolls, but... I would only say thats true for 2 breaths and up. 1 breath may as well not matter by itself.

and then the field of what people ask for royal breeders is a very dynamic range, and probably involves some diplomacy, because by my metrics of what it costs to prepare in time, gp, beans, skill levels, etc... it looks to me like royal breeders street at twice what I would predict, so there must be a factor to it, the luck of the reroll dice and the master farmer set perhaps...

I made my own studly, instable, radiant dragon; and then went to buy 3 breath expecting to pay 80-100m, or see people hawking the complete pair for 200m, and what I saw instead, and you can see for yourself is that people who have these things... and for that matter I am only seeing people who have the 3 breath dragons for sale... they want more like 150-200m for just the 3 breath dragon.

that means I failing to consider some factor of where the value comes from.

I'll let somebody else say what a royal dragon itself is worth, but afaic its only as good as its slots/traits would be to breed yer own without its shinyness being much of a factor. In theory I will have made my own, and I might try selling it, so I don't want to seem interested, or corrupt in that regard.

oh and more to the south and east of the po farm bank chest there are some cool package trades from clever folks.

I bought a "ram bow" set from a guy for 2.5m

I still don't see people saying what they want for Malcolm or Trevor. They'll ask for offers, and then not seem to sell. I think they just want to show off, and thats cool. Right on.

Daemoncap zygomites must rely on a condition we're not all doing on purpose yet like... seasonalized winter or something. I see unanswered pleas of people wanting to buy them on w2 for like 25m. It seems like they get nothing, and go do something else for the most part.

: if you gain daemoncap, then please consider a reroll trait to "
strong genes
" so that there will be more of them.

the merchants will take it and flip it, so expect when you hawk it that like... you are asked to trade and show it to like 20 people, and see some super low offers. I kinda advise not getting mad at low offers and just sayin "thanks for looking."

also keep in mind I built from bottom up on the highest volume trade at po farm, the ado zygo, and my predicted values turn out to be way lower than street, and I don't know why. Its worthless to say "Kerr said..." or "I read on rsof..." but yeah be proud of yer dragon and try to get what he is worth.

edit/add
: another really nice thing about your dragon is that you have a breath already in the third slot. there are way way more traits possible at slot 3, so that'd spook potential bidders who would be rerolling. Slot 2 is more traits possible than slot 1, but it should only cost someone in mf set like 1-10 dice for a breath in that slot. Not so bad.

I have so much arachnophobia I may never do spiders. Ever. I want to know if they have "shiny!" in the row of text under gender when you hover over them in your bag. It seems different than other shiny because of the totem activating them as a drop from araxxor.

helpful tip for checking out w2 pof street values: when you ignore someone it mutes their annoying banner. I've done this a couple times, and its an immediate QOL improvement.
