well thats tricky. if you listed yer traits in order and studly is in slot 3, then twice as many rerolls needed to make it a breath or radiant. that means that without the better luck of the master farmer set... to somebody they've gotta think about maybe rolling like 40 times for it, and thats 12k beans (or if theyre in the dragon game for beans then 15m x6 so 90m gp worth).

if studly was in slot one thats great, if they even want studly and not a breath or sparkling. a lot fewer traits at slot 1, so fewer dice needed for 3rd breath (cause either breath or radiant in yer 3rd slot would be the cinch).

so based on what I see at w2, an hour ago, and your understanding so you stay calm and tell people "thanks for looking" even if they troll or flame you, then you wouldnt be getting robbed if you took 30-50m for 3 slot egg, but it oughta be worth 10m more for each breath, maybe nab you 70m, and bein honest... maybe the player who wants to buy it already has the missing breath on his other dragon, has beans to roll a first slot studly, or he wants that instead of sparkling... and it might be worth as much to him as if it was a 3 breath dragon, and those are like 150 to 200m.

When you hawk it type:
"sell 3t black frost shock studly egg" or "sell 3t black studly shock poison ado"
naming your breaths, and putting studly where it actually is. it does matter what stage, too, cause a lot of folks want to start breedin right away and need adult minimum, or they want the totem perk for effigies right away and want elder.

I aint sayin how much you settle, or hold out for, cause the higher end of it might take you a long while to find the right buyer. Just givin you idea of the spectrum of possibilities.

some clarifications:

The slots/traits are where the real value for animals comes from... with three exceptions: malcolm, trevor, and the sets for "ram-bow" and "perked up."

The summary of j mod responses at twitter and reddit reveals that the
chicken-only
trait "chaotic" enables name rerolls to malcolm, and that we apparently can't lay eggs for lizard roosters, only lizard hens that we have to mess with. Thats a lot of dice to make malcolm, so thats going to be worth x, and be sellable runescore.

Trevor would have to start as a male magical zygo, afaik, unless one of the weird traits for zygo unlocks gender name rerolls. Any corrections appreciated.

A ram-bow set is nice because you don't have to juggle so many rams into pens and your bank to save them all up. Age, slots, traits don't matter. There are similar sets possible to package up for "perked up" involving elder pairs and slots/traits dont matter for those either.

Two and thee slot/trait dragons that can make royals should always have been worth as much or more than royals themselves. It was obvious on day one of po farm from looking at the skills-farming acheivement text. It says the runescore comes from breeding our own royal dragons, not buying them, and so I have seen a guy peddling his two slot royal egg for about as much as a 3 slot/breath dragon and thats... not robbing anyone. It'd look cool, and fashionscape matters.

Been hopping on w2 and skilling a bit just to get a feel for prices. It's hilarious...people are so delusional. 95% of people there are selling, they all ask for ridiculously high prices, and they never budge (and stay there for a long time).

^ yes. farmstanding is real. it speeds up growth and thus breeding 7%. for 160 hr dragons thats not wasting time.

the first several 1t royals have sold, and people clueing in that they need to make their own, and want to make really good ones in such a way that ideally your two parents look like this

breath, breath, radiant
breath, genetic instability, radiant(or another instable)

so parents that look like that will get hawked at 300m or so, and its not robbery. thats a 2 and 3 slot royal factory. you won't get royal super often, of course, but when you do it'll be better than just a 1 slot royal. this is not my opinion, per se, but is actually being reflected in a paradigm shift visible when you farmstand and watch people.

that value is based mostly on what unchecked glooms show as their value on GE, and then what people appear to be paying for their ado zygo on zoe's payday around reset, so... in a sense... a bean translates to about 3k gp right now. upgrades and traits spending 150k beans means you are invested about $450 million into your farm + the weeks of farmstanding that you weren't looting elite dungeons or something.

usual suspicions that merchant clans are pumping and dumping don't apply in the same way to po farms because... these things dont stack in the bank, and theyre not a finite number like "rares." they can't even try to hoard it all.

sample exchange you might watch
- player X hawks royal parents $180m (for traits now slightly off paradigm)
- player Y requests trade, examines, declines, and says something disparaging
- player X has confidence shaken

whats kinda unfair about that is that X is only going to recoup half his investment selling those parents for that, and trying to haggle it farther down is a bit mean spirited, sometimes even worse Y trying to bait someone into flame they get muted for, thus ending their ability to p2p trade.

I'd never do any such thing, but the "dude bro" mob codified this word to mean that which is insulting to a pretty girl to lower her self esteem and her impulse controls.

there is a whole bunch of that on w2, and you can sometimes catch one person talking nice to you, the other talking bad, and theyre both in the same fc. they'll have it co-ordinated, too, so that the insult comes several minutes before the lowballing offer from the fake nice guy.

metacognizance won't change what people do, but it might help some of y'all feel differently about it. don't let it make you feel some kinda way.

Any idea what daemoncaps are going for now? I scored a baby studly male for 15m a few hrs after update yesterday which felt like stealing. There aren't enough to set a good price range yet. One guy I offered expected 50m, and I don't deny it might be worth that to some people to really get back their hatchery spaces asap. My best advice is to hang out on the porch of grannys house where zygo people trade and keep your eyes open.
