I wonder if Jagex couldn’t just remove 3 zeroes from currency… So, instead of receiving 6m in game, you receive 6K :)

And alchs, banks would reflect this.

Really, the USA irl needs to do this albeit to a lesser degree. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

I don't think there was any manual intervention. But maybe? I walked into the wilderness on Christmas upset that I didn't find any. I got a pop-up message saying Merry Christmas and figured it was just a server-wide message being sent out. I saw a red dot in the center of Chaos Warrior castle. Now keep in mind this was on classic so the camera angles did not help you at all, but I navigated inside and sure enough there was a Santa hat in the center of the castle. Did a JMod see me wandering around and decide to drop one there for me? I will never know, but it does seem like an unusual spawn point for one.

I also met Paul in game once and according to legend he would just give pumpkins out. Unfortunately he never gave me any, I just said "Hi Paul" and he said "Hey" and that was all I got out of that interaction. Buy Zemomarks / Chromatic Partyhats safely here

You guys must be new lol, the original and iconic Chessy018 was hacked ages ago (around like 2010- 2011) She quit and never returned after that. Her username was also stolen later on when her account became inactive

She lost around 170b+ at that time this was a lot

However, there has been someone impersonating her or so - I believe it's someone who looked up to her

I was around for Hween and Santa hat drops. Never saw any mods around. There would be a pop up that said Happy Halloween and Merry Christmas. Then the masks/Santa hats would just randomly spawn all over the map. They were decently spaced out. I was wandering around in the wild for the Halloween event and had gotten 8 green masks. Unfortunately I got pked and did not use protect prayer to at least keep 1 mask. I was wearing rune plate, rune legs, and r2h. I didn't even take food :(

Yes dude we know she was hacked for her santa stash. I was around then. Chessy018 is active in game and on the highscores. If what you are saying is true about her name being stolen, then I guess the Chessy018 seen in game is the name thief?

the chessy018 ive spoken with about 2-3 years ago still had the stash, last year i heard that she got hacked. idk about 2010-2011 i didnt play at that time, so there are 2 options, either you got the wrong info which i doubt since you seem to be sure about it. which seems like the chessy018 ive met was the imposter flexing with the santa stack that got stolen, i do know the chessy018 i met tried to destroy the clan me and a friend made. the clan got lost dual to that but im still playing with that friend because i showed him that the chessy was using his goodwill to get gp. idk if this info matters much. also the person in question cant defend this so take it with some salt. personally i didnt really dislike her, i pitied her for being weak. but im talking about 2019-2020 i believe so that doesnt fit in the same timeline as 2010-2011. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

Of course pinks were not the only one that were duped. It's a common myth that certain people follow 20 years later thinking Sixfeetunder did only that with his buddies. Every single partyhat was duped but majority of them were pinks and crackers because of the price at the time. Many of them got removed but price stayed low because there wasn't too many players and everyone knew about it. Today, Purple partyhats are not the most common partyhat in the game, I guarantee you that.
The action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired.

I would say purple are still the most common. There isnt a huge variation from the numbers of hats pulled by crackers. Purples were definitely duped significantly more than the others and jagex definitely did not manage to clean all of the duped hats up. You can clearly tell that with how cheap purples were following the dupe. It is only very recently that purple has started to gain value, which imo is only due to higher desirability very recently. Mass contributor to deaths coffers.
