I've seen this long time ago. I don't know, seems like a low number for 2006.

I've seen this long time ago. I don't know, seems like a low number for 2006. How could anyone know unless jmod revealed data? I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

Yeah, it's based on speculations but just knowing thing or two about rares this is too little for the time.
The action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired.

Rares numbers are pure speculation, and very difficult to estimate. Many of the numbers posted here look too "clean", and manufactured. They're just guesses, and folks should keep that in mind. I don't even think Jagex has a way to state the number of "active" rares in a clean manner since there are some key nuances to keep in mind. The total number can be very different from the "active" number. The number of "active" rares needs to define criteria. When someone says "active", is that based on trading frequency? Is it based on login activity? How often would someone need to login for that rare to be considered active? Food for thought.

Another variable to consider, the active number of Runescape players is changing over the years. The demand for rares is also changing, as well. Inflation is a large driving factor, along with partyhats and rares being an iconic "end game" goal for many players.
