Hello KEGGYYY, your right about one thing I only have 1 wreath currently in my portfolio however if people are gonna be so kind to manip prices down, I will gladly shop for 2 more and make it a holy trinity!

It’s funny how people come out of the woodwork when it may perhaps interfere with their future manip plans. (Nobody targeted in particular)

The Holly Wreath has been dragged through the mud and I’m rightfully restoring its shine. Jagex are low key genius.

My opinion: It isn’t a very cosmetically appealing rare however, it’s rarity and “ok” look is why it’s worth what it currently is today.
If it is your only rare in your possession just keepsake it, wear it proud and be lucky it’s not worn by every man and it’s dog like the RSH. Just sit on it, it’s gonna be like a classic car, it will only ever go up in price.

Fact: Its the price that it is purely due to supply and demand, the majority have voted that it’s worth is around the 9-10b mark (for now).

Thank you @SIRJOSH for your fair opinion. I agree you can buy them right now for around 10B however I disagree with its current true value. Great investment cannot stress it enough.

However my opinion of the Black Santa Hat is; it looks like something a burglar would wear when he’s robbing you before going to bed :P

Do I still think it’s cool, yes because it has historic game value and is very rare. It actually has a use if your into the burglar thing.

Party hats your not free and clear either my opinion is; they look like construction paper hats that a 5 yr old would wear at their birthday party. At least the Holly has texture.

I wouldn't pay more than 8b for one tbh

let's put it like this... I have a really nice collection of rares that I've acquired over the years and I really like looking at my bank.

I see my doughnut aka disk of returning that I paid 1.25 and it looks good

I see pumpkin that I bought for 500m and it looks good

I see my easter egg that I paid 250m and it's whatever, good investment I guess.

see my red, blue, green masks that I paid 5-20m each and I'm quite happy, they look nice in my bank

I see my purple phat that I paid 2.25m and I'm instantly happy, it's so beautiful. I do however regret selling 2 purple phats for ags back in 2008. I had 5 total purple phats back then and now I only have 1...

I see my white phat that I paid 40b and I'm mad that I didn't buy it when it was 5b.

I see my half full wine jug and I can't believe I paid 22b for something that looks exactly like wine of zamorak, wine, and 10 other wines in game. At least make it gold, or red or anything else, just make it different! I also regret selling my first wine for 70M back in 2005. At least I'm one of the few people in this game that owns one.

I look at my 1 Christmas scythe and I regret selling 99 other ones for 30m each but at least I bought a purple phat instead!

I look at my wreath that I paid 1b and I'm just like why can't this look any better? If it did I would've bought 50+ of them.

I look at my fugly red santa and I did buy it for 20m but I regret not buying anything else because it's hideous. I will never buy a black one because it looks so ugly.

I look at my green phat and I'm just like why in the world did I pay 8b for this garbage? It looks horrible ewwwie!

As you can see a lot of rares are not solely priced off of their rarity but rather appealing look that is why purple partyhat has exceeded fugly yellow and fugly green and even fugly red in price at one point.

btw blue is so fugly it should be worth 1b

There was 5000 Christmas scythes released into game same time as 1000 Holly wreaths 2014.

Simple math can deduce that the current and true value of the Holly Wreath is 5 x Christmas scythes, which is 3200m X 5 = 16B


Did you ever consider that perhaps the true value of Christmas scythes is 1/5 of Holly wreath, which is 9500m / 5 = 1900m and Christmas scythes are overpriced?

No? Off course not, 'cause that doesn't fit with your agenda. So much time and effort put into your thread which is purely created for one purpose... Put that time into making money properly in game and maybe you'll increase your small bank.

I do agree, I think it's a cute rare, most consider it "ugly"? I guess, and I think the price will catch up to it eventually.

Demand and supply seems to be balanced on it. I bought at least one, because I know someday the supply will be extremely low.

@PANICSELL I agree either people are getting ripped off buying Christmas scythes right now or the Holly wreath is about 6B undervalued. Beware when buying scythes at this level or selling Hollys at a significant discount *WARNING* that’s why this thread is here.

I have no intention of selling my Holly Wreath “Priceless” keepsaked, best cosmetic head slot in game not to mention it goes with basically everything in FashionScape.

It would benefit me for them to go down because then I can grab two more at even more of a bargain price.

I don’t want to see people ripped off. The more information people have the better before buying or selling a mega rare.

This is an honest opinion from a Holly Wreath owner. I get asked all the time how much is it worth? do you think it will go up etc

Back to my original point the Holly Wreaths true value will always be at least 5x Christmas scythes.

If you want true price of a Christmas scythe divide holly by 5, if you want the true price of a Holly Wreath multiply Christmas scythes by 5.

You just don't get it do you... That or you're trying really hard to manip the price upwards, not sure which one it is at this point given every other sentence is referring to how 'cheap' it is right now and how it's a "bargain price".
Imagine thinking that the only varying factor is how many were released... If people are genuinely asking your advice about markets, I'm concerned for them because you're very unaware as to what actually drives street prices, or you're just fuelling your own agenda with 100% bias to suit your own needs.
