I have almost no rares, lost huge amounts on tokens and an update. However, if I had rares to defend, I’d be digging up the evidence of past promises. It’s not a court you need to win over; you need players on your side.

Newer players don’t care about rares. People like me don’t care. It’s up to you to defend your status as an elite plutocrat. I cannot for the life of me manage to catch Covid. Perhaps it's because I didn't get vaxxed? The travails of those lacking immunity. :(

Hey sorry if that was taken as a threat to Tufty? We appreciate his service, I actually placed a thread for Wildcat before I saw this, I agree, I should have asked in the correct place which now I have.

Yea i believe that was part of it but also to do with Jagex targeting key promos to people who spent the most vs trying to get them to play. I don't want to derail the thread but was all real interesting to watch and anyone can still look it up. I felt they were not 100% truthful because I used to be targeted with a lot of key promos and none of my friends were getting them and I realized it was because I was spending a lot and they weren't at all. I would bite on everyone and then realized I was waiting for the next one.

They stopped doing after 2019 or 20, I cannot recall exactly.

Same here. They are making money so they don't have to care about anything else. This is usually the difference between founders and subsequent owners.

But as for never ending debate that rares which came into the game with partial or even full involvement of TH (SoF) aren't real rares according to some group of players I'd note that SoF and TH have been an integral part of Runescape for over a decade, therefore I don't think we should exclude it from holiday rares category just because of that. Distinguishing between traditional holiday and the other promotions around year could be sufficient key for sorting. (For example, besides the age itself I see no difference between yellow partyhat and golden partyhat, green mask and purple mask, black santa and tree hat). Another story is discontinued status which could be clarified with ongoing releases.

Honestly, does anyone' really care what they do here as long as they stop jerking us around and be clear? It's pretty sad that they do this openly and then mock us when questioned. We are the ones that pay their bills, pretty wild they never care.

that thread still means absolutely nothing though, that's just a directory of where to post items for sale on the forums. rubber turkies were once on that list under discontinued and they were re-released.


so, my original statement on my original post still stands, anything can be rereleased at any time jagex wants to. Don't trust any pc's listed, any advice or talks between posts on ID forums anymore , the Manips are let loose, especially the main one with 15+ accounts posting acting as different people.. do your own research
