The fact purple is more expensive despite being most common says a lot. I think its different for everyone what he/she likes the most. for me yellow,green,blue are the best , then white after. red and purple just seems ugly to me.

the prices show that its not different for everyone though.

i think that yellow and green are too harsh of colors and like someone said earlier, you get tired of it relatively quickly.

My opinion is the rarity stated in this video plus modern fashionscape trends influence the popularity of each hat these days.

Blue is new rarest and looks good so it’s the most expensive. White is moderately rare but looks amazing with most fashionscape so is second most expensive, same reason why red is 3rd.
Green is quite rare but is ugly and doesn’t suit many outfits at all,, purple has the history of being the rarest before dupe plus looks great with a black themed fashionscape which is popular these days so it’s slowly rising towards 4th. Yellow also isn’t the most rarest and isn’t the best colour for fashionscape, but to me resembles a crown more and suits default clothing rather than any gear.

Agree with all this. Another thing I feel is that Blue is not even great with fashionscape, but that its value comes from its iconic status over the years as the ultimate end game rare (since you can't wear a christmas cracker) and therefore being featured more in many aspects as the "default" partyhat. Otherwise if it's purely for outfit matching, nothing beats White/Red.

personally i prefer white and yellow over the other colours, for me the blue partyhat doesnt really fit with anything besides a comp cape and quests :SSS.

red is oke but i wouldnt be able to hold it for a long time.

Green really only fits with the 120 farming cape so you cant play around with capes or gear. ofcourse there is the 120 herb cape but i think 120 farming looks alot better.

purple is a harsh colour and fits with either black or maybe red-orange kinda??. purple looks really good but i dont like black as a colour for gear.

meanwhile,

white fits with every other colour besides white and black. i dont like orange but you could really put white with any colour.

yellow is a summer colour in my opinion. so it fits really well with white since white can make yellow shine even brighter. yellow works with 120 invention cape and 120 summoning and 120 prayer cape. also 120 attack cape. so i think yellow works well with red too if used properly making yellow more frontline than red.

also after reading all the pages i think i saw someone say that you cant really have an opinion about colours. (if im wrong sorry in advance) but colours are like the food you consume some people like fish while others like chicken. that counts for colours too. i like turquoise alot! but the dark blue that a partyhat has seems terrible. meanwhile its still blue. just a different type of blue. trusting certain pc lists or prices of items or websites that dont belong to jagex will get you into trouble notice: external websites and trades are your responsibility, dont get fooled!.

It is. Partyhats in general are interesting as they are rare but not as rare as people might think, its just that insane wealth and being traded out of Ge has created situation that allowed them to be bought out.

It started with blue, it was targeted first on the first boom of phat prices, i cant remember the cap between white and blue at the time but people saw the difference and other hat prices started to adjust even when they werent the ones bought out.

The new character update will probably create large spike on the price if they fix how the hat looks on female character, right now it looks like oversized headband and one of the main reasons i dont care to wear them.

purple never used to be the most common, due to dupe and other things over the years it became most common, idk wtf destroy is talking about but over the years, i had bought lots of purples and i tell you what, every one i bought at the time it was the cheapest phat, it was extremely common, just right now phats are being hoarded and this agenda has been since day 1 a bunch of rich people want purples to go to no.1 phat spot they tried this even when purples were cheap... instead just commenting on forums trying to sway peoples perspective on what phats are more common than others?

tbh back in the day no one even wanted a purple it was trash, i remember buying a purple for 690m in the ge when all the phats got sold from the dicer rwters, and purple was the cheapest phat in ge, i got it at 690m nib, compared to other phats which were a few hundred mill higher, everything is in perspective and half of this guys are actual known manips who use alts to spew their agendas
