it costs 80m to make them from scratch with maximum efficiency, so making them = about 13.5m gp per hour.

There are much better ways to make gp at the moment, so i'm guessing the drop will start to slow down, people will hoard them cheap and cause them to go back up. It's probably going to go up and down like a yoyo until the event ends.

Very valid point that there are better ways to make money on an account. But I would counter;

Are there better ways to make money afk across several accounts at once with literally no stats between them? Fresh accounts right off of the island? I have a friend who runs 4 accounts at once and is up to his 25th hat. And you know there are people playing less than legit on accounts to make them faster. Now with added

Yes because 100 party-hats entering the game because of alts make such a huge difference....

100 wouldn’t make a difference? Coming from the person comparing these to black Santa’s? If another 100 black Santa’s suddenly dropped into the game overnight, it would make a big difference…

Regardless, it’s not just 100. I’ve also been seeing these accounts. This doesn’t even take the legit farmers into account.

The more I read your responses and your use of patently flawed market comparisons, the more I narrow down that you’re either an alt with the express purpose of manipulating market prices, or you bought in massively early on with these hats and are trying desperately to convince people to keep buying to try and recoup the loses. Or you could just be bad at this. Idk.


At the current rate, GHATS will drop below 350m today. A prediction I made that many people several pages back called me an idiot for. I also predicted they would get as low as 250m. Will it? Maybe, idk, I think so. But what do I know? I’m just the idiot who said “sell” at 700m. What do I know?

I’ll be buying a strong supply as soon as they begin to bottom out. Guess we’ll see where that is. Now with added

Can you help me understand the point you're trying to make, please? Are you saying that because you personally haven't seen a Golden partyhat alt (that you know of), they don't exist or aren't an issue?

Of just two people that I know, they're on track to get at least 100 hats between them - just casually running alts alongside their mains.
Scale that up and on average you just need 200 of those people doing that same casual method and you've got your '10,000' farmed by alts - which you've mentioned would be a problem.

The action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired.

100 at the price of 350m ea would absolutely not make a major difference. If you haven't noticed, there's a lot of demand and supply on these items. What I have noticed is, that you have no idea how demand and supply works, whatsoever.

I was comparing them to the release of Black Santa hats, when they were 150-250m ea. Not now, when they are 24b ea. I stated that the Golden Partyhat follows the similar pattern, and it will rise to a similar price in the upcoming years, which we all agreed on, including you, who is waiting on it to dip so you can start hoarding.

I absolutely don't care what price Golden Partyhat is atm because I know in the upcoming months and years after it becomes fully discontinued it will just rise.

Some people might farm them now, okay? So what? This will get balanced in the future, when players with Golden Phats go inactive, or quit the game.

In the long run, the supply will get shorter, just as we have seen with the original rares and xmas scythe.

I am just stating the obvious actually, you even said:

Yet no one knows when it will "bottom out" and with the buy limit of 2/4 hours, who would wait and miss out?

I am saying the issue is not huge, since I am not seeing any personally. If it was a big issue, we would all see at least 100 accounts farming them on every world, like we see with other bots.

So you're saying your friend is getting 50 hats so far? that's like 500 hours? 3 weeks of fully working with no sleep.

Yup, that definitely sounds legit.

Come on, like you said, I have no idea how to speculate on items. Obviously there’s no way this thing drops below 250m by the end of the event. Just keep buying up those hats. You’re sure to win out in the end.

This is also a strawman of sorts, no one has been claiming that it's gunna shoot up in value while the event is still ongoing. The fact that it's still at/above 350m bids right now is pretty impressive, I was expecting it to be way lower by this point
