I also think the price will reflect the supply. I don't think it would have been worth almost 400m if there already were 10k in-game

Oh, well I think you know now that 10k is also way too low since it's only been 2 days and its around 350m now. We might just be looking at a 100m rare by the time this is done. Let's hope not!

Casual player can get it no problem. Got 4 shards in 2 days with barely any work.
2.5 hrs deep sea fishing (logging out and back in several times due to afk)
2 hrs firemaking protean logs (afk)
3 hrs pickpocketing men (afk due to Sticky Fingers)
2.5 hrs killing Chaos Druids (afk due to aggression pots)

That's alot of hours to spend on a game I haven't touched in 6 months but Rares make it all worth it!

Thats a lot of play hours for 'casual player' in 2 days. At least in my opinion.

Thats a lot of play hours for 'casual player' in 2 days. At least in my opinion.

i mean...its afk. keeping the rs window active on screen or on mobile while working, cleaning, and playing other games etc. is casual.

Would it be reasonable to asume that all normal long term players will hold on to their gold party hat at these prices. And that many of the people who do sell it have the intention to buy it back. I dont see a reason for them to sell it unless as a flip with the intention to buy it back. And jagex promised the item would be worth a lot of coins eventually (false advertising lol?).

So that most of the suply comes from alts which are literally farming the hat. And that most of the farmers will have farmed the hat asap in the first few days because then the price would be the highest? (jagex botched the release with this aspect imo though i guess there is little you can do about it).

How much would a farmer spend on the hat. People get it on their alts that are members already and then its basicly 30m + at least 15 hours of afk farming. They could farm something else as well in those 15 hours though so i guess anything below 100m would not be worth it. This would be a higher price for those who have to buy membership as well.
I dont know how fast it is to get the hat with an account with zero stats. Would that be the same 15 hours or would it be much longer due to lower stats,or would it even be impossible due to certain requierements?

It seems stable for now at 400m,i still think it will bottom out around 200m. And after that it will be a very very very slow rise upwards.
