To add on to your comment from before, I think it is a combination of both: there is both low supply and low demand, imo this makes disk a really interesting item.
One reason the supply is low is simply due to its rarity, but also because many disk holders (like some fans in this thread) just may just never want to ever sell them, since they love the item.
In terms of demand, I believe the demand is generally low just due to its unpopularity (both as an investment/flip item since it quite a slow item to trade, but also since it is at a price point where it may compete with other wearable rares like H'weens, Santa, X-mas Scythe etc. which are generally more popular due to being wearable but likely more common too)
I think, however, there is another factor on why it may appear to be more infrequently traded than it really is. This is because there are a fair few of the disk trades between players which are simply not posted publicly - either on forums or other price checkers.
I have personally made trades recently and just not posted them (was lazy/ didn't screenshot with timestamp), but have also heard of more trades from other disk buyer/sellers than the ones publicly posted.
There are a few reasons behind this: it's sometimes a hassle to take a screenshot, players may want to keep private about trades with others, etc.
I think the same can be said about the Half Wine - where I've heard of a relatively recent trade between two merchers (more recent than the publicly posted one 16 weeks ago). However the trade just simply wasn't posted, for whatever reason.
