Is RS psychology predictable? New RS3 servers release mid-September. It lasts 16 weeks. Can you predict a fresh accounts psychological journey?

Week 1: You enjoy lots of creative fun with exciting new playstyles.
Week 2: The enjoyment is gone, but you're addicted. You can't let your work go to waste.
Week 3: Grind some goals and feel good.
Week 4: The main game gets cool announcements.
Week 8: Your bills are rising. Your new account gives you an escape.

Week 17: You realise you're paying $8-12 monthly for a 4 month old alt.

The server ends around January 15. Can you predict the week 17 mentality of a player?

Nothing is going to be wasted in RS3's Fresh Start Worlds as all progress carries over to the main RS3 game after the first 4 months.

You are mistaking it with OSRS's League where all progress is lost at the end of the event.

I know.

So what's the problem when we pay for a year's membership and get 4 months of membership time in Fresh Start Servers and then 8 months in the regular RS3 servers afterward?

Low stats (relative to mains).

As its name suggested, Fresh Start Servers are aimed at Fresh new players, like the over 20 millions new ones who have contributed to the 320 mil account Celebration.

We should all be glad Jagex is getting so many new accounts for their RS3 Fresh Start. :)

A server only hosts a game world, the account data isn't stored there. Having some more game worlds only temporarily isn't going to delete people's accounts afterwards...

Obviously.

With treasure hunter, XP is already devalued.

The Fresh Start worlds, with increased XP rates, seems like a good way to bring new players to the game. Runescape is a very topheavy game, and since XP can't get more devalued than it already is, I don't see the problem.

It brings new players to the game, and it gives old players some interesting goals and rewards to work for, all while letting players new and old experience early content.

This is also great as it lets Jagex see what early content still holds up, and what might need tweaking. Using this knowledge, the early game can be refined for new players, even beyond their Fresh Start.
Don't forget – RuneScape members get TWO free spins a day instead of the usual one!
