This is the thing about immersion. I role play with the NPC's and the environment etc.

Its not all about quest immersion.

I dont care a bit what other pple look like. my immersion deals with the game itself.
Other people dont fit into my self immersion. Sure i interact with others but most of the
time that has nothing to do with times of immersion.

I wish there was some consisitency with things we already have.. for example the web cloak from an early halloween event, men its long and looks good.. women its short and looks like
it was cut off too soon.

Regardless Self Immersion into the game Has 0 to do with how others look The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

Exactly.

Just ignore what other ppl are wearing as its not like you'll be around a good number of them for long anyways.

The ones you will be around are the ones you accepted as your friends thus accepted what they wear.

Look at the details and how modern they are, although they are obviously retro NPCs in retro skins, then we should know how good RS3's retro skins can look like and the very same OSRS counterpart is just... yikes!

Yeah, that's the sort of thing I'm talking about. I'm not against that sort of retro cosmetic, just against the idea of porting the actual old models into the game as-is.

Note that these are on high details. We also have low and very low details among over 9,000 customizations of the same object for RS3 players.

RS3 can just design their "new" retro air staff or wizard robe in high detail mode like what they have shown on their Steamforged project. However, if players want their air staff and wizard robe to look more like old school then they can also choose extreme low details.

In the end, how modern or retro of the same object can be all customized based on individual player's preference.

I wish to rescind my prior comment about no support. With Jagex announcing which retro skins got selected and my personal favorites were not listed I think this is BS!

I would really love to see the results of what players voted for because I highly doubt Fighter Torso and Nezzy Helm lost to the "whip, D Claws, and x2 sets of Rune Armor".

I guess you are an OSRS player or someone who like 2007 items perhaps. I am not surprised when it comes to RETRO items, more players will have rune and dragon items come to their minds first.

I am a active RS3 player who plays on Legacy and really enjoys OSRS cosmetics. You can find me on W115 daily if you ever want to PVM on Legacy settings and watch me rock OSRS Arma/Bandos overrides brotha Sofia with an F and Call Her Daddy

Just to let it out, I always liked the rune god armour the way it was and was disappointed when they changed their model. Now, Retro skins do not look like just some old graphics, they keep their older models with new graphics. Have you seen how good the metal retro set looks?

Yes they look really good IMO.

Now if only option 3 for the dragon scim would pass id be very, very happy :P

Err again! Arma/Bandos are hardly OSRS or retro overrides. Besides, we can also wear Arma/Bandos or make overrides with Keepsakes in RS3, everybody can and do it everywhere. I have been rocking with a Giant's Hand override as my 2H melee cosmetics for years. It is hardly anything even new, definitely nothing related to Future game updates.
