Funny how I figured out a few days ago this had to be a combat skill. Well guys it looks like level 152 will be the max cb. As for the mechanics of the skill, seems totally new to rs.
The idea of a new skill is for it to be totally new to RS3. Necromancy is spot on, otherwise why don't they just extend an existing skill, say magic, to level 120.. or add a magic based dungeoneering kind of minigame and pretend it to be a new skill?
I am still waiting for Agility to turn into Martial Arts.

Combat abilities can turn into Martial Arts rather easily, but Agility can't because there is lack of diversity.
A list of helpful quests for Necromancy is released:
"USEFUL QUESTS TO COMPLETE
Temple at Senntisten for Curses
While Guthix Sleeps
Kings Ransom
Ghosts Ahoy
The Jack of Spades
Vengeance (Fremennik Saga)
Nadir (Fremennik Saga)
The Blood Pacts"
Interesting, only Ghosts Ahoy seems to be undead/Necromancy themed on the surface.
Nadir is helpful, probably and unsurprisingly the Daemonheim Necrolord Yudura is involved.
All the other quests have seem to be related to curses, corruption and such...
We can decant flask and vials into different sizes. I don't see any difference in Necromancy overloads. We just make all kinds of overloads existing now, regardless of their sizes or flask/vial, they get turned into Necromancy overload with the same decant features on August 7.
On another note, Osseous probably will play an important role in Necromancy as the 4th Rex Matriarch.

worth noting necromancy was mentioned a few times during the dead and buried quest then we get a
mysterious ancient door
yet this can't be used as it says
you need to speak to raptor about this
, so i've got a feeling this
ancient door
will lead to the city of umm
I think this part of the quest serves as a cliffhanger that Dragonkin being the missing link of Necromancy. It probably is the ancient Dragonkin powers that make Fort Forinthry such a contested region in ancient times.
Memorial to Guthix. The First Necromancer popped up today and called Guthix a "god of lies" and probably is going to tell his version of First Age truths. Guthix is dead (assuming he didn't lie about it) so we may have to go to Guthix's memories to determine if he lied to us.
