Its going to need doing sooner or later, along with less ancient graphics. 6th age Gielinor is getting positively crowded. There be minigames and dungeons everywhere you look. I was just reading the book of the gods and it mentioning that to the elves, Forinthy (the wildy) was a far distant land :| that made Runescape feel epic.

Seeing the current direction that the game is going (with the revalation of new worlds in the newer quests and such) I think it would be a much more reasonably sized project to create a portal in which players can travel to another world (that can frow with updates much like gelinor did) , this would not only be a great place to put higher level new content, but also greatly expand the realm of Runescape.

This has always been something I've agreed with, even if only for the reasons of less need to world hop because certain spots can only fit one or two people, at level (whether or not you account for spawn mechanics, which as they stand, are more than antiquated).

This is a problem that'll only be further exacerbated as equipment and accessories improve, and has been around for practically forever, though the split and less bots has decreased its impact in regards to acquisition of material... but made the tiny nature of the world far more noticeable.

In my time the world has been made a lot smaller by lodestones etc. This is convenient, but it does effectively shrink the world. The Moonclan in particular sought to distance themselves from the rest of the world, so I think there should be a rebellion and they should blow up the Luna isle lodestone.

I thought they wanted to distance themselves from the mainland because they were hunted down like witches, not necessarily due to xenophobia.

Things have certainly changed since that age... If anything, it's time they opened up to the rest of the world and shared their secrets.

It would be incredible to see the RS world in a larger scale where the buildings and the landscape are almost larger than life. The immensity of such an expansion though... I can only imagine. :)

Runescapes becoming overcrowded, this isn't an update that can be released in a few months however it would need to be worked on and tested for a few years.

Things such as clue scroll coordinates could be effected meaning that would need a rework.

The idea of monsters attacking you randomly as you roam runescape is a brilliant idea. I think the loadstone network should require runes to activate if you are going to expand runescape to a much bigger size. More trees added to make runescape have a better feel to it, rather than a few odd trees here and there.
