My question is - why do you even see boosting as a problem?

Ironmen only being able to boss with other ironmen makes sense. It promotes players to go make new friends and interact with eachother, but if people want to get boosted by other ironmen let them get boosted. Its their own fucking gameplay.

Even if someone gets boosted to max through easy loot and resources thats only a fraction of the game from a leaderboards point of view, and the only potential harm done is the increased level of sodium in players who play for their ego, trying to prove the value of their existence through their runescape account who are envious of others that have people to boost them, but thats not something you should be supporting.

On top of that, although jagex seems to be generally against this, it creates an opportunity for people to turn runescape into a business platform with higher level players providing services to lower level players. The reality is that the most successful games out there are games that people can actually make money from. It gives people a reason to play and get good at a game. Intentionally trying to avoid that is insanity imo.

Give your kids freedom to live and learn and step in to stop them only when their about to jump off a cliff or something if u know what i mean. Give the players some space. Runescape Player since 2003

Jagex would obviously lose money from this thus its highly unlikely to happen.

This is very true, the only people keeping this game going is the long term players, and we tend to have multiple accounts with membership.

Maybe if jagex stopped focusing on other projects and put their money back into the game that made them we might just might have new players joining at such a rate that, like most other MMO's you have have multiple accounts on one membership.

Would it be possible to make an existing solo ironman into a group ironman? As it seems it would be just a downgrade of the status, i dont think it would have any negative effect. I understand that the currently planned thing is to only be able to assign freshmade accounts into groups. Sure there could be a boosting problem but isnt it the same thing as a fresh account joining a group with other higher level ironmans?
I just want to finally be able to duo bosses with my pal on our ironman accounts. Without spending all the time on making a new ironman account.

I would like info as well. Been playing since 2006, quit shortly after old school came out and I hated the EOC. Group ironman will get me back into the game. Want to play with 3 of my friends in it. Creating an account and simply not using the GE, is not the same. People can't seem to grasp that. So eager, checking every day for an update.
